The Pheasant is a traditional thatched pub restaurant nestled in the Cambridgeshire countryside at the heart of the beautiful village of Keyston located 15 miles from Huntingdon or just 4.5 miles from Raunds. Honest, fresh, and locally sourced food forms part of the modern British menu with a twist complemented by an extensive yet eclectic wine list.

What makes The Pheasant stand out is its two beautiful but very different areas inside for guests to choose from. In the relaxed yet bustling bar with an open fire, comfy chairs, and bar stools you will find a selection of real ales, cocktails, and mocktails as well as the extensive wine list and bar snacks. Alternatively, the recently redecorated bright and airy restaurant at the back of the building with views over the country garden and surrounding fields sets the scene for a romantic dinner or family or business lunch and is ever popular.

So disappointed having been customers over 40 years, including an account when it was Poste Group. No acknowledgment on arrival despite nobody waiting. Toast under wild mushrooms was severely burned. Burrata starter was tasty. Both ordered special main course - lemon sole. Fish was mushy texture and almost tasted of ammonia or something not quite wholesome. Nobody checked to see if meal was in order. Wanted to get bill and despite only 2 other tables being used outside, waitress just doesn't look to see if anybody requires serving. Waited 10 minutes before getting up to go and ask. Was a minor celebration for us - had glass of champagne, low priced white wine and 2 courses - bill £150 for 2 of us with coffee. If these prices are going to be maintained, front of house and staff need training and food needs checking before serving. Sorry Pheasant, won't be returning.

My family and friends have eaten here many times and we have never been disappointed with the service and the quality of food, we shall be booking again in the near future.

We thought this was our new ‘place’. Been 4 times now, 2 great and 2 not so great visits. First time cold roasts and this time poor service and not so good food. Waited for serving staff for too long on every occasion and the girl got multiple parts of the orders wrong over all courses. Measly mash and veg portion with pie and lacklustre veg dish drowned in black pepper. Would be keen to order things like scallops and tuna but all have some weird Asian twist - it’s not wanted Think we are done for meals here but it’s a good place for a drink.

First meal at the Pheasant having drank there before and enjoyed the atmosphere, but to dine there was a pleasure. A simple but imaginative menu that didn’t fail to delight.

Lovely Sunday lunch, quiet table at front of dining room. Efficient and unobtrusive service. Competitive fixed price two or three course menu with wide range of choices. Food nicely presented, and v tasty. Good range of wines and cask beers from the bar. Thoroughly recommended.

The Pheasant at Keyston is back to its best. Congratulations Stephen and team, the refurb , menu and ambience is terrific. We will be back , well worth the trip out. Thank you Malcolm and Noreen
