The Pheasant is a traditional thatched pub restaurant nestled in the Cambridgeshire countryside at the heart of the beautiful village of Keyston located 15 miles from Huntingdon or just 4.5 miles from Raunds. Honest, fresh, and locally sourced food forms part of the modern British menu with a twist complemented by an extensive yet eclectic wine list.

What makes The Pheasant stand out is its two beautiful but very different areas inside for guests to choose from. In the relaxed yet bustling bar with an open fire, comfy chairs, and bar stools you will find a selection of real ales, cocktails, and mocktails as well as the extensive wine list and bar snacks. Alternatively, the recently redecorated bright and airy restaurant at the back of the building with views over the country garden and surrounding fields sets the scene for a romantic dinner or family or business lunch and is ever popular.

Some excellent dishes and some that lack flavour. Service is very personable and friendly - country pub feel. Relaxed and easy vibe - not noisy. A good night out to chill. Some good wines

Excellent Plant Based menu. The food was imaginative, creative, tasty and full of flavour. It far exceeded expectations. An outstanding evening. Thank you.

Food was absolutely amazing. We were a party of 9 and we all very much enjoyed the meal.. The staff were also amazing and very helpful. We will definitely be going back again.

The Pheasant at Keyston was absolutely gorgeous. It was our first visit after being recommended, and it did not disappoint! The restaurant itself is stunning, a lovely country pub surrounded by countryside with wonderful views. The staff were amazing and extremely friendly, ensuring we were comfortable and had what we needed. The food was truly fantastic - we had the rump of lamb and the pork tenderloin as mains, and the lemon polenta cake and the vanilla cheesecake with rosehip jelly and apricot (from the specials board) for dessert. I cannot recommend The Pheasant at Keyston enough and we will absolutely be returning!

Had the most delicious pork dish at The Pheasant recently. Really well thought out, balanced flavours. Service a bit hit and miss but willing.

Lovely location, good food. Particularly impressed by egg free menu and a dairy free menu. These were slight variants of the main menu and my wife felt included rather than an excluded diner as is often the case. We both loved it. Will return.

The Pheasant is located in the quaint village of Keyston. The pub has a large car park at the rear and plenty of space for outside dining. We ate in the bar area where it was fairly quiet. We were shown to our table by a lovely, friendly young lady. Service was prompt. My wife had the Stone Bass and I ordered the Sirloin Steak with peppercorn sauce. Both meals were nicely presented and delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection and the peppercorn sauce certainly packed a punch. We shared a tasty dessert. Price wise The Pheasant is more of a special treat rather than a regular occasion but, nonetheless, was good value for money.

So disappointed having been customers over 40 years, including an account when it was Poste Group. No acknowledgment on arrival despite nobody waiting. Toast under wild mushrooms was severely burned. Burrata starter was tasty. Both ordered special main course - lemon sole. Fish was mushy texture and almost tasted of ammonia or something not quite wholesome. Nobody checked to see if meal was in order. Wanted to get bill and despite only 2 other tables being used outside, waitress just doesn't look to see if anybody requires serving. Waited 10 minutes before getting up to go and ask. Was a minor celebration for us - had glass of champagne, low priced white wine and 2 courses - bill £150 for 2 of us with coffee. If these prices are going to be maintained, front of house and staff need training and food needs checking before serving. Sorry Pheasant, won't be returning.
