Le restaurant THE PENTHOUSE de l'hôtel The Huntley vous accueille dans un cadre ultra-lounge à couper le souffle, avec des cabanes de plage, des espaces à ciel ouvert, des comptoirs argentés et des bougies nues. Le célèbre designer Thomas Schoos (connu pour son travail dans des restaurants tels que le Koi et le TAO New York/Las Vegas) a fait équipe avec le chef exécutif Kevin Meyer pour manifester une nouvelle célébration visuelle des sens. Le Penthouse propose un menu américain contemporain avec des influences mondiales audacieuses. Le chef Meyer s'inspire de la cuisine de France, d'Espagne et d'autres pays pour présenter un menu qui combine des ingrédients de saison provenant des marchés de producteurs de Santa Monica avec des ingrédients uniques venus du monde entier. Ce menu innovant comprend des plats tels que le magret de canard au thym et au miel, le poulet Jidori cuit sous une brique, le bar avec son ragoût de haricots cannellini ou encore du bœuf Angus de première qualité. Enfin, le restaurant The Penthouse est également disponible pour des évènements privés.

We had a wonderful experience at the Penthouse for our anniversary lunch. First time in 19 years that we received a handwritten note from the staff congratulating us. So classy and thoughtful. Ambiance and food were fantastic as always.

Lovely venue with beautiful views. The food is pricey but worth a special occasion. Sadly the service was lacking and we almost left cuz it took them 10 even to say hello or bring water to our table. Anytime we needed anything we had to flag them down. That would influence us not to come back again sadly

We had the best brunch experience at the Penthouse. The food, service, and ambieance was all perfection! We loved our waitress and she went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied. The views of Santa Monica were breathtaking taking and everyone in our group were very satisfied with our food. I will definitely return. A+

The presentation and ambience was superb. From someone who appreciates fine dining all over the world, too much emphasis on over-dressing normal meal selections. In addition, the waitress service seem to be dismayed by patrons not sharing her enthusiasm and lack knowledge of food content. Lastly, the libations were terribly watered down and posed a choking risk.

Extraordinary value of the prix fix lunch menu plus great taste. The service was superb with very personal attention to my birthday. The view over Santa Monica Beach and surroundings is similarly spectacular.

This restaurant and hotel stay was a splurge for hubby and I. With that said, the experience was friendly and beyond expectations. The photos don’t do this place justice. Beautifully decorated and a huge perk is the view. The food was carefully crafted, fresh and delicious. The honey burrata looked like art. Portion size is small, everyone has a different take whether that is good or not. Personally for me, the portion worked. We shared an appetizer, each a separate entree and separate dessert. I was full by the time I polished off my passion fruit crème brûle. We also took part to try the cocktails. We had our 6 month old baby with us and had no issues. The noise level was loud so you couldn’t hear some of her fussing (no loud crying or screaming). After her needs was met, she peacefully went to sleep. If your child isn’t able to sleep through loud noises, then I would leave them behind. Overall, an excellent way to end our trip. We would definitely be returning when we’re back in town.
