Located in the heart of Bala, Muskoka, The Pearl is a destination food market during the day & vibin snack bar at night where “old country” and contemporary intersect. Led by a team of culinary experts, focused on mixing flavor-driven cuisine with the simplicity and comforts of cottage life.

What started as a vision of a cool, welcoming spot in the heart of Muskoka was then explored, researched and fine-tuned by TOBEN Hospitality Group owners Toben Kochman, Elana Kochman and Ryan Feldman. After putting their heads together and harmonizing their ideas, they arrived at The Pearl.

The Dinner Menu at the Pearl continuously evolves and focuses on communal eats in the form of small & large share plates or "tapas". It is the perfect atmosphere for guests to disconnect from their day and reconnect with one another.

Great service and food. Chef driven concept that offers outstanding food Quality. Server (Porchia) was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Overall, well worth the higher prices.

The Pearl is an absolute gem and a must-visit when in Muskoka. The food is fresh, flavourful and creative, with lots of options for gluten- and/or dairy free. The peas and shoots salad with secret green dressing was divine. The space is small and outdoors — and we were hit by some rain — but tables are covered and blankets offered. The service was wonderful. Prompt and personable. We’ll be returning again and are recommending it to our friends and family :)

As usual, the food was outstanding and the service the same. The wait staff are always friendly and very helpful. I wish the Pearl had a bigger location with indoor dining for those rainy and cool days, however, we’ll take what we can get from this “Gem in Muskoka.” Best and most creative menu around. Reminds me of European tapis format only better. Keep up the fabulous work!

The food was very delicious and innovative and the service was very good as well. We would definitely go back! It’s just too bad there is not an indoor dining space. We were there on a rainy night and things were a bit wet. Luckily it want pouring or we would have had to leave as our table was not fully covered.

We had a wonderful dinner at The Pearl. The cocktails were a bit unusual and delicious, the shared plates were excellent- we had the beef croquettes, shrimp and dumplings. The main plate we shared was veal Milanese, which was outstanding! We then had the churros for dessert which were excellent too. It is fairly expensive but we felt that it was good value - the food and drinks were very creative and unique. The bonus was the outstanding service! It was overall a very delicious and pleasant experience! We highly recommend it!

A wonderful addition to the Muskoka dining scene. The shareable dishes allowed us to enjoy numerous samples and they were all delicious. Our server was excellent and helped us navigate the many scrumptious selections. Thank you for a delightful evening out with my family.
