Great little place ducked away at the foot of the hills, cozy and dimly lit with comfy chairs and lounge style dining with shared plates. Great for an intimate dinner. Wonderful wait staff and tasty menu.

Excellent experience in a very relaxed setting. A perfect place to sit and chat in a comfortable and relaxed ambience. Service was exceptional, friendly and professional. Prices were just a bit high for choice of food, in saying that the food was delicious. We will be back👍😀

First time having a dinner and drinks at the Peacock Den. Wonderful experience with food choices and service. There was great attention from the 2 people serving us, just didn't ask for their names. Ambience was very cosy, and overall had a great time at the establishment.

Upon arrival the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were polite, as we were early we were offed a seat at the bar to have a pre dinner drink but found the bar stools difficult to sit and one with a broken foot rest that meant it could not be safely used , so opted for some short stool seats beside the bar.The lighting made it very difficult to read the wine list which was hard to hold whilst trying to turn over and endless wine list that was very expensive to the tune of bottle prices marked up 120% . Once our table was ready we were offered a choice of sparkling or still water and the menu ,the way the menu was laid out made it confusing to understand particularly when with other people. The lack of understanding about Gluten intolerance was astounding causing one of the guests to have a major gluten attack and be incapacitated for the following two days. The food was pleasant but nothing outstanding, i dont usually post reviews however if the establishment learns from this review i hope things will improve for them because Peacock Den has such potential

An unexpected gem sitting within outer suburbia. After driving past many times and thinking we should try it out, we were surprised to find a venue, menu and service a cut above your usual eatery. A little bit more expensive than your average restaurant you'd generally find in The Basin, but well worth it for a special treat/date night/celebration.
