The Pavilion Restaurant - Open 6 Days Per Week

The Pavilion Restaurant is open for lunch Wednesday to Monday, and features lovely views to The Calliope Vineyard, across the vast expanse of lawn. When the weather is fine, we open the French Doors & pull up the patio blinds, creating an alfresco dining experience. When it’s not so nice, we seat you in the inner restaurant, featuring plenty of natural light and glimpses of the vineyard and garden.

Our menu prepared by Head Chef Drew Buntine, features fresh, local produce, perfectly matched to the extensive range of Buller Wines from our wine list. Our entrées are perfect for sharing and Drew's Grass Fed, Eye Fillet Steak, with a Balladeer Jus is a winner with steak lovers. For guests who enjoy to finish their meal on a sweet note, our Sticky Muscat Pudding with Muscat Sauce is perfect with a glass of muscat.

Share Plates Day
Plusieurs dates disponibles
Have one, have many, savour a plate to yourself or share several with friends. Today is our share plates menu day! Enjoy menu items like Lime & Pepper Calamari with Lime Aioli, Chicken Parfait with Cornichons & Toasted Focaccia or one of our tasty Sourdough Pizzas, to name just a few. Enjoy with a glass of wine from the The Buller Wine's range or a refreshing Spritz or cold beer. Soft Drinks and Juices are also available or perhaps you would prefer a Coffee with a sweet treat. There was a great atmosphere, excellent service, and friendly and welcoming staff. The food was well presented, tasted well, and cooked to perfection.

There was a large gathering that was not placed in the same restaurant area as us and we enjoyed the quieter, well spaced interior area where there were only a few diners. The staff serviced both areas and managed our area comfortably. We had the eye fillet, the lamb blackstrap and the duck risotto. All were cooked perfectly with perhaps the only suggestion would have been a little more rice in the risotto. Two of us had deserts and they were enjoyable. The wine list was as you would expect from a winery and all were very pleasant drinking for a Saturday afternoon lunch.

Lovely restaurant. Surroundings & ambience very nice. The restaurant overlooks the vineyards. Exquisite food, beautifully cooked. The service was very good. Food a little on the high side but well worth it. Perfect for a large group or function as the restaurant is very large & spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Would highly recommend a visit, it's absolutely gorgeous.

Food was average quality and size for $. Crispy fish not crispy and lamb overcooked. Entrees pretty good. Service average. Waited 20 minutes after mains were cleared and no one came to our table so we had dessert and coffee elsewhere. Better value for money elsewhere in Rutherglen.
