Our lovely open-plan restaurant has traditional oak-beams and contemporary furnishings with a harmonious and relaxing ambience. The perfect setting for you to enjoy a romantic dinner, family celebration or night out with friends.
Our Head Chef and his brigade are passionate about food. Every dish on the frequently changing menu is freshly prepared from the finest ingredients – locally sourced wherever possible.
Norfolk is rich in great produce and our kitchen’s philosophy is based on seasonality, provenance and flavour. Game, fish, meat and vegetables are chosen with care daily. We have a close relationship with the finest suppliers in the county and they know that we insist on buying the best. We don’t do run-of-the-mill at The Parson but we do believe in offering great food cooked with passion and flair.
Special dietary requirements are all happily catered for. Please advise when making your reservation.

Best food I’ve tasted in a long while when eating out. Staff very friendly and venue was lovely. Company we ate with was even better!!

The food the four of us ate on Friday 20th September was absolutely delicious. The choice was exceptional and the service extremely good. We will be returning.

Let's start with the positives. Our Sunday Roast was fine: it would have been better had our first choices of meats, and the cauliflower cheese side, still been available, but it was fine nevertheless, and not bad value for money. The young front-of-house staff were also friendly and polite (although, as a couple in our late 70s, "You guys alright, then?" is not altogether our preferred form of greeting). So, to the negatives, none of which was more than merely irritating; taken together, however, they do rather point to a shortfall in basic training of the young staff. Why, for instance, with such a large dining area and only two other parties dining at the same time as us, was it necessary to seat us all at adjacent, closely-spaced tables? Why should a bowl for empty mussel shells apparently be provided only with a main-course serving of moules marinière, but not with a starter-size serving? Oh, and a teacup is a less than practical substitute for a finger bowl. And how is one supposed to serve oneself vegetables (especially broccoli cheese) without a serving spoon? Finally, whilst one would not expect a trained sommelier in a country pub, I think one might reasonably expect a little more than having one's chosen bottle of wine plonked, unopened on one's table, even if it does come with a Stelvin closure.

All in all it was a good experience, but I just felt the service was a little lacking at the end of our meal. We sat at the table for quite a while after eating and no one came to ask if we’d like more drinks, coffee or even the bill. Anyway, food was great, good portions. Atmosphere was lovely and nice to see a few dogs in there too. Plenty of parking and toilets were clean. So I’d give last night a 9/10.

Very good service, helpful and polite. Meal was excellent, food was cooked very well. Had the surf and turf, steak cooked the way I have. Desserts were very varied and traditional, Parsons mess was great.

I booked a table for my partners birthday, the food was amazing, the staff were so polite Coleen my partner was very impressed, we are definitely returning, it really made her birthday 🎂
