Our lovely open-plan restaurant has traditional oak-beams and contemporary furnishings with a harmonious and relaxing ambience. The perfect setting for you to enjoy a romantic dinner, family celebration or night out with friends.
Our Head Chef and his brigade are passionate about food. Every dish on the frequently changing menu is freshly prepared from the finest ingredients – locally sourced wherever possible.
Norfolk is rich in great produce and our kitchen’s philosophy is based on seasonality, provenance and flavour. Game, fish, meat and vegetables are chosen with care daily. We have a close relationship with the finest suppliers in the county and they know that we insist on buying the best. We don’t do run-of-the-mill at The Parson but we do believe in offering great food cooked with passion and flair.
Special dietary requirements are all happily catered for. Please advise when making your reservation.

We had a lovely meal on Xmas Eve. The game pie was delicious with a good selection of vegetables. The only negative was they forgot to bring our sharing starter. It wasn’t a problem as the main meal came quickly. It would be nice to be brought or offered water without having to ask too. The waiter was very pleasant and apologetic about the missing starter. Would recommend.

We dined at the Parson Woodforde tonight we have been before and rated it highly, unfortunately on this occasion it was not up to their normal standard, my friend had Monkfish, it was only partially cooked, it was replaced and the bill at the end of the evening was reduced but I felt let down by the experience.

Busy staff at bar acknowledged and sorted us quickly, and were efficient and personable throughout. The food was tasty and well cooked. Nibbles generous. Starters, lovely and mains v.good Tender rare venison and a very good game pie, thin walled pastry and right amount of sauce within. Didn't have dessert as too full up. Good selection of beers. Abbott was very good. Will come again. With friends.

The food,quality, decor comfort and ambiance were excellent . We only marked it down to a four as two special requests were forgotten, although they were quickly sorted .

a small group of us had booked to go to thursford Christmas show. We wanted to have a meal Before going and so I had been to Parson Woodforde previously this was the perfect place to book.

Four of us visited today for our annual Festive get together. The food was cooked to perfection and presented very well indeed. Everything tasted fantastic. This delightful pub has a lovely vibe. The staff are truly exceptional, friendly and welcoming. We are very lucky to live within a few miles and will return in the New Year. Couldn't fault a thing.

My partner and I booked to have Sunday lunch here. The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault the place and will be returning very soon

We had dinner on a Saturday night . The Hake and Lamb were excellent. Head waiter was very good . Definitely give it a try
