If you are not already familiar with us, we are a 240 seat, historic restaurant in downtown Stratford, 1 block from the Avon. We have lots of free, easily accessible parking. Our dining room consists of beautiful woodwork and stained glass, reminiscent of the 1800's when the building was originally built. We have a number of private dining rooms available for groups of 20 to 100 people.

The ambiance was lovely, the food good, the service out-of-this-world! Highly commend both our server last night at dinner (best wishes in the thesis defence!) and the delightful woman this morning.

Food was delicious and our server, Leslie , was awesome! We were celebrating our anniversary and she made us feel so special. She even gave me a beautiful rose! Highly recommended and you must order the Pavlova for dessert!!!

We had a lovely salmon dinner and the mushroom crostini to start. Our server was very pleasant, answered our questions, and made excellent recommendations based on our needs and preferences. We will be back! Oh! And they very generously celebrated our anniversary with us via a delicious, complimentary pavlova and beautiful rose. We felt spoiled. Thanks!

We stopped in for a meal before our show at Stratford. The food and service were definitely good and I would go back. But I don’t know if it was a must visit. To start, my daughter had the Caesar and I had the onion soup. The salad was good, but the large pieces of bacon would have benefitted from a pan crisping in vs. being fridge-cold. The onion soup was delicious but did not have quite enough cheese. For mains, my daughter had the gnocchi and I had the pork chop. The Gnocci was delicious, but the sauce was so rich and concentrated in flavour that she couldn’t finish it (a rarity). My smoked pork chop was perfectly seasoned and tender, but let down a bit by the texture of the accompanying roasted potatoes. Ashley was an attentive server who made sure we were ordered and out in plenty of time for the show, and, as with all Vintage Inn properties, she went the extra mile, offering us a selection of free cans of pop for the road when my daughter complained of being overtired. It’s little touches like this that make all the difference.

The food and the service were very good. It was somewhat pricey and 10% over the on line ad. Neighboring tables were quiet loud and detracted from an otherwise excellent dinner.

Staff are fantastic! Very helpful and unrushed. I asked for a quiet table and got one - I’m afraid we were the noisiest table in the room - we were having such a great reunion! But the other patrons were well away from us and I don’t think we caused any distress The food was delicious. All four of us had something different and shared bits amongst us and every dish was well seasoned - and they were extremely generous proportions. The room has beautiful stained glass panels which give it a very “olde English” feel. Very pleasant.

Great pre-theatre spot with a wonderful classic cocktail menu. Gorgeous dining room (especially if you snag a booth). Excellent service.

Wonderful service in the bar and in the restaurant, with Faith as our waitress. I requested my steak to be rare. It was medium. It was also less than tender and covered in gravy. The potatoes and vegetables were excellent. My husband’s fish and chips was ok. Breakfast was very good. Again, we had Faith as our delightful waitress.

Our food and beverages were excellent! What made everything even better was the marvelous friendly service. A perfect end to an afternoon at the theatre. Thank you to everyone at The Parlor.
