Barbecue season never ends at the Palomino Smokehouse!! Situated in the heart of downtown Calgary with the largest smoker in Western Canada. All of our meats are smoked low and slow everyday as we go through pounds of BBQ classics such as Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork and Ribs. Our Smoked Chicken, New Orleans style Catfish Po'boy, award winning Chili and rib-sticking Macaroni & Cheese are also extremely popular with the locals. All of our BBQ sauces (House, Chipotle and Carolina Mustard) and Rubs are made in-house and are gluten free. On weekends we feature the famous Cowboy Brunch, our BBQ-inspired take on breakfast classics which are available for both early and not-so-early risers. We feature a large selection of beer, whiskey, bourbon and other spirits to quench your thirst.

I have celiac. We had a platter that was full of meat that I could eat safely and it was very good!

The restaurant is located is a shady part of town but when you walk inside it's a pretty cool place. Our server was great and got us in for a last minute drink special. The food was an absolute fail, no flavor, inedible combinations, we ordered 3 appys and shared a main and left all of it. The food was so bad we didn't even bother order dessert fearing it would be a complete flop! Go there for a drink, but not food, definitely disappointed especially for a birthday.

Tout comme la viande , le buffet n’est pas très intéressant en terme de qualité. Les desserts sont payants en plus du menu. Le personnel est efficace. Nous n’avons pas eu plusieurs item indiqués sur le site internet…

Great location. Great food. Didn’t realize that a metal/punk-rock and a BBQ restaurant could be the same thing. Went in work clothes while on a business trip and nobody batted an eye. Great service and great food. Possibly the best brisket (other than the ones I’ve smoked myself of course) I’ve had. Will be back on subsequent trips.

I've been in this restaurant several times. I like it as there are places where one can sit and have a good conversation without yelling to be heard. The food is also great and the price is reasonable.
