At age the of 20, Chef Rafael moved with his wife to Cleveland, Ohio. His goal was to continue his Italian culinary skills which he acquired in the region of Verona, Italy.
Chef Rafael was introduced to the restaurant industry at a very young age. His grandmother was very well known for her home-cooked dishes. She loved having her grandson with her as she cooked meals as soon as he was able to walk. He was six years old when he first learned how to make homemade pasta and, by age 14, he was ready to embark on his own culinary journey. His first stop was Verona, Italy,which was the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. The romantic and rich architectural heritage of Verona was matched by the great culinary venues of that city and Chef Rafael's experience and skills grew exponentially. Three years later, Chef Rafael traveled to Belgium and France where he then experienced cooking French cuisine as well.

                                                                                            Amazing dinner from start to finish! Cocktails were superb, service was exceptional! Michelle took care of our every need and knew the entire menu and easily answered all our questions with professionalism and personality! The food was outstanding! Each dish we ordered was flawless with delicious flavors and aromas! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! 5 stars! We will return! Thank you for making our visit and my birthday so memorable!

                                                                                            We always enjoy dining at the Palazzo! The service is always outstanding, and the staff makes sure their guests are treated almost like family. Highly recommended is their calamari appetizer, which features sauteed calamari in a spicy broth. My only disappointment this time was with a pappardelle/halibut special that was a bit bland. My friend, however, was happy with his lobster ravioli.

                                                                                            Four of us great meals celebrating a birthday yesterday. As always, the food and the service were terrific. It seems that only friendly people work and dine here.

                                                                                            Frustration. The best word when describing our dinner at The Palazzo. Not sure what has changed vs. the 4.7/5.0 rating but our dinner tonight was overpriced, underwhelming, and forgettable. Service is pushy, almost relentless in their tone. Our server was borderline annoying. Food is very middle of the road but the value proposition is broken. Overpriced and disappointing. Food was bland, protein cuts were average, and the presentation was outdated. Overall, this is a skip-it restaurant in my opinion. Better options within the city and in the suburbs.

                                                                                            We had a great experience at The Palazzo from the moment we walked in. The ambiance is perfect for a date night. Our servers were so kind and were very considerate of our need for privacy, but were right there if we needed anything. I would recommend The Palazzo to anyone! The chef even thanked us personally for dining there!
