To keep you on your toes our head chef changes our evening menu regularly depending on what comes in fresh that day. Everything we offer is homemade and we source as much of the produce as we can as locally as possible. We always make sure there is a choice on the menu for Vegetarians, and we ask that when booking you let us know of any dietary requirements so we can tailor that evening’s menu appropriately.

Lovely Sunday lunch, with locally sourced meat. Friendly service and well presented food. Pub is in a quiet village, ideal location for a cycle ride.

The food at the Pack Horse was excellent. There were 3 of us and we all had different dishes, all of which were delicious. The service was efficient and friendly and the ambience was good. It was on the pricey side compared with similar establishments, but the quality of the food justified that. We enjoyed it so much we booked for Sunday lunch the next day before we left

Had a really lovely family meal here on a Friday night. Friendly, prompt and smiley service. Food was very good, menu nice and varied. Not much atmosphere in the conservatory though and the delicious crayfish salad which was advertised as gluten free came with non-gluten free bread, fortunately we did ask.

Started with the sourdough bread which was good. Both chose Sea-bass which was very well cooked and tasty. Recommended

All our party were bowled over by the Pack Horse. Sunday lunch was everything we wished for and more. The menu was a pleasing mixture of traditional Sunday lunch and some newer dishes, as well as special dietary requirements. When the food came out everybody was absolutely delighted at the quality of ingredients and the exceptional cooking. Well done to the chef and his helpers. Our lunch was accompanied by excellent wines and a variety of well-kept mainly local beers and lagers. The staff were all a credit to the pub and deserve much praise. I would have no hesitation in recommending this charming pub to anyone. It is not situated in any of the local tourist hotshots, but is nevertheless easy to find, and the fact that every single table for Sunday lunch was filled speaks volumes. Visit the Pack Horse soon!
