Located in the charming beach town of Gearhart, OR - possibly best known for being the summer home & final resting place of James Beard, the godfather of American fine dining, The Pacific Way is located in a history filled 1929 building. Depending on the coastal weather, you may chose a cozy space indoors, warm by a fire or dine in our covered dog friendly patio. Our menu is farm-to-table, changes based on what is fresh from the farms this week & the chef offers chalkboard menu items regularly. You'll find our menu is seafood forward, but it is worth noting there's always something special on deck for the vegetarian and carnivore in the group. We recommend making reservations for dinner (Thu-Sun, 5-9p) but accept walk-ins when we can. No reservations required for Happy Hour (Fri-Sun, 3-5p).

We ordered the halibut and the salmon. Both were a little overcooked, and we actually discussed this with the servers before ordering. The salmon plate was covered in vegetables, and actually hid the special qualities of the salmon. It was more like a stir fry than a nice plate. The halibut was listed as "slow-roasted" but it came out at the same time as the salmon. The chef is talented but it just needs a little more care in preparation and presentation.

This was an incredible find and made our trip! We had the Epic Chef’s Tasting Menu for $99 per person and it was amazing. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, from the veggies to the sashimi and steak. Best green beans I have ever eaten. Delicious wine. Scrumptious cheesecake. The flavor pairings were top notch.

Alan and his staff went beyond to accommodate our party, which expended from 4 to 5 people. The food was absolutely excellent; all the staff including the chef were very attentive. I could not recommend this restaurant more highly.

WOW!! This is THE place to go in Seaside. Delicious, unique, and creative dishes with a changing locally sourced menu. Every dish was perfect. Service was very quick

Crab cakes are outstanding, as was the halibut and crab bisque. Other people at the table liked the ceviche and the paella. Goat cheesecake another winner. They apparently have a new chef because the last time we were there, the menu was different and the food mediocre.

I had only tried Pacific Way once since it went under new ownership, and it was mediocre, at best. I decided to try it again and it was amazing. We ordered the tasting menu, and each dish was prepared to perfection. Also, the portions were quite adequate. I highly recommend Pacific Way especially for a special occasion.

I had a quiet and delicious dinner w my friend, and the service was as outstanding as the food. We took our time enjoying halibut and salmon, fresh salads, focaccia bread, and glasses of wine. We finished with cheesecake for desert. We didn’t feel rushed and the staff served everything in a timely manner. The restaurant was busy for a Thursday late summer night.

The staff was courteous and friendly, the food was delicious, and the chocolate ganache dessert for two was amazing! Overall a wonderful experience!
