Welcome to The Oyster Rock, a family-owned and operated waterfront Calabash seafood restaurant specializing in excellent seafood and raw bar items, mixed with a flavorful variety of mouth-watering beef, chicken and pork dishes, along with sandwiches and burgers all prepared in house every day using only the freshest and finest ingredients from local and regional suppliers and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean right outside our doors.

Overlooking the scenic Calabash River and its pristine estuaries and relaxing atmosphere, The Oyster Rock provides the most amazing view around, from our indoor and outdoor seating areas and bars featuring more than 24 domestic and imported beers on tap, 30 wines by the glass and a delicious collection of specialty cocktails.

    Food choices were great. Server Luciano explained the specials and went into great detail about the menu. Food came out hot and was very tasty. Service was what we come to expect from this restaurant.

    I made this reservation for my son and his wife that just had her 5th baby and they absolutely loved it! The food was amazing and the service was so kind and fun!

    Wonderful dining experience food and service were excellent and employees were attentive. The service was extraordinary with a reservation we were seated immediately, food was served quickly and it was delicious. We will go back soon.

    Very expensive for a small serving of grouper. Restaurant very warm inside

    Wonderful as always .. the bay breeze drinks were delicious as was the food. Definitely a favorite ❤️

    The decor, cleanliness, vibes, and view were phenomenal. As soon as we entered, our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. We kicked off with specialty cocktails. Although I was a bit unimpressed by their oyster selection given their name, The Oyster Rock, perhaps it’s just not the season? They only had three options, two of which were southern grown oysters, so they were large and not ideal for eating raw. They had tons of options for main courses, both seafood and land-style. I got their watermelon salad, and the shrimp cocktail was amazing—probably the best shrimp I’ve had in this area. My husband got the mahi tacos, which he said were amazing. We also split the charcuterie board, which was a craft, elevated style that’s hard to find, and we were blown away. Super impressive. Everyone works as a team there; we never had to wait long before someone came over with water or to clear a plate from our table. The staff was exceptional. They all wished us a happy anniversary, which was so sweet since we were there to celebrate our one year of marriage. We ended the evening at their waterfront bar area, enjoying live music. The ambiance was just perfect. The only feedback I would give is regarding the wait. They make people wait outside and only let one party in at a time, it was extremely hot and humid. This seemed a bit much, especially for the elderly and children. There was more than enough space for people to gather in front of the host station. If it’s due to an ordinance on how many people can be in the restaurant, I would suggest installing some outdoor fans to keep patrons cool while waiting. We can’t wait to come back!

    Another fantastic experience at Oyster Rock. Service was impeccable and the food is uniquely appreciated in the Southeast. Looking forward to my next reservation.
