Server Kahla was amazing, very attentive and personable. Every dish we had was fantastic. Would recommend over and over again.

Former Volt and Thatcher and Rye location. Much more approachable menu but still very high quality food and cocktails. This is a great addition to downtown!

Second visit. Again, a beautiful salad presentation with dressing on the bottom to provide a good visual. Had the fried chicken dinner, and the chicken was cooked perfectly with a delicious, light fried coating that complimented rather than overpowered the bird. Came with 2 jalapeño small muffins. Very good pairing.

Our experience was fantastic. The food, while appearing “simple”, is perfectly executed and delicious. The staff was very kind and educated on the menu- our server recommended a pairing of pineapple sorbet with a glass of sparkle and this ended up being a highlight of the meal. The chef was being interviewed while we were there - his backstory is one of hard work, perseverance, and just being authentic. It was an added gift hearing more about the roots forming the menu. I’d say one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time and an 11 out of ten.

The food and service outstanding. Our server was very enthusiastic and helpful. The fried chicken and pot roast were delicious as was the pepperoni roll as a starter.

Brunch was fabulous. Best grits I’ve ever had. The tomato toast was great. Brisket sandwich was fabulous.

I had brunch with a friend on Sunday. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this exciting new venture. The food, menu, service and drinks were ALL outstanding! I will definitely be returning and can't wait to check out their lunch and dinner menus as well! Dining at The Ordinary Hen is a lovely experience, and one you shouldn't miss!
