We use a selection of breeds including the Aberdeen Angus, Charolais, Hereford, Welsh Salt Marsh, Dingley Dell. All steaks and combos are served with beef dripping fries, slow roasted tomato, portobello mushroom, beer battered onion rings and either a peppercorn, béarnaise, garlic butter or red wine sauce

                                                                                    Such a lovely place, haven’t been before but will 100% come back! The Sunday roast was delicious, my friend is a veggie and it was lovely to see more than the usually on option for her 🖤 Staff were also lovely! Encouraged us to some lovely wine. Thanks again.

                                                                                    I was sent the Xmas menu to pick from, submitted our choices but on arrival we were told that was for Xmas day only. They apologised for the mix up gave us 2 bottles of Prosecco on the house and a discount on our meal. I thought this was very thoughtful and we appreciated the service we received nothing was too much trouble. As we only moved here last year and been here twice before it will deffinately be our local where eating out is concerned. Patricia Hammond.

                                                                                    We dine here frequently and the food is always top drawer as it was today. Unfortunately there was a problem with the heating/electricity and as a result it wait for food was an hour. To be expected at this time of year I guess and exacerbated by the problems. However when we got our food it was delicious and we enjoyed it immensely.

                                                                                    The restaurant was full but we were seated quickly, and our drinks were provided immediately and our orders taken. The choice of food was amazing and everything tasted delicious

                                                                                    We had a brilliant time at the Orange Tree yesterday. Fantastic service and food was delicious. On top of it, they are dog friendly and our golden retriever had the time of his life feeling like a celebrity ❤️❤️❤️

                                                                                    Having been to this restaurant so many times before, I was very disappointed with the service this time… staff not on the ball and telling my whole party the cost of the meal.. a real shame as the food was excellent as ever

                                                                                    We live in Braintree but the trip to Sawbridgeworth is always well worth it - we have been to the Orange Tree many times now and the food, service and overall experience is always first class - I can highly recommend the Orange Tree unreservedly
