                      Our meats are sourced directly from Tom Hixson in Smithfield Market, London. We use a selection of breeds including the Aberdeen Angus, Charolais, Hereford, Welsh Salt Marsh, Dingley Dell. All steaks and combos are served with beef dripping fries, slow roasted tomato, portobello mushroom, beer battered onion rings and either a peppercorn, béarnaise, garlic butter or red wine sauce

                                                                                    Fabulous food . 4 of us all cleared our plates the food was fabulous. Prawn starter. Roast beef and the beignet for pudding was delicious. Service was 2nd to none . great hosts all the staff were friendly and it was a pleasure to be there. We will definitely return can't recommend the staff and food enough.

                                                                                    Always fantastic at The Orange Tree in Sawbridgeworth and it’s the go to for any family celebration or special occasion! Delicious food and fantastic service, cannot fault it.

                                                                                    Service was terrible. Seemed little communication between staff. We were sat down for 20 mins before anyone came to the table. Food was slow to be served. Mains came out and vegetables followed much later hence the meat and potatoes were cold when veg was added. Very very disappointed. I feel The Orange Tree has lost its way. Whenever I have been before it made it feel like a special event but this time we could easily have been eating at the Beefeater!

                                                                                    The food was absolutely sublime perfect! I absolutely love this restaurant everything is quality! The chateaubriand is incredible as was the New Zealand wine by the glass which was outstanding! Even the cheese and biscuits was perfect! Great service too the waitress was very attentive all in all a Great evening x

                                                                                    Service was very slow and food wasn't up to the usual standards - we've dined here many times and this is the first disappointing meal we've had here. There was barely any fish in one of the special dishes so the price and didn't seem justified and the cheeseboard just seemed to be 3 types of cheddar (we were told it would be 3 different types of cheeses but appreciate things can change) which was boring - one of our group left hungry which is frustrating given the prices charged
