We use a selection of breeds including the Aberdeen Angus, Charolais, Hereford, Welsh Salt Marsh, Dingley Dell. All steaks and combos are served with beef dripping fries, slow roasted tomato, portobello mushroom, beer battered onion rings and either a peppercorn, béarnaise, garlic butter or red wine sauce

                                                                                    The restaurant was full but we were seated quickly, and our drinks were provided immediately and our orders taken. The choice of food was amazing and everything tasted delicious

                                                                                    We had a brilliant time at the Orange Tree yesterday. Fantastic service and food was delicious. On top of it, they are dog friendly and our golden retriever had the time of his life feeling like a celebrity ❤️❤️❤️

                                                                                    Having been to this restaurant so many times before, I was very disappointed with the service this time… staff not on the ball and telling my whole party the cost of the meal.. a real shame as the food was excellent as ever

                                                                                    We live in Braintree but the trip to Sawbridgeworth is always well worth it - we have been to the Orange Tree many times now and the food, service and overall experience is always first class - I can highly recommend the Orange Tree unreservedly

                                                                                    Well as usual this was an amazing dinning experience. The food was in my opinion Michelin star rated, everything cooked to perfection. Every effort is made in this establishment to ensure a superb experience Would highly recommend to all. Especially for a birthday or special occasion. This place has it all This is why we jeep returning Well done to you all.

                                                                                    Staff was attentive, food was nice and fairly prompt. Only thing that let our experience down was we were sat at a table where one of us had our back to the walkthrough from the kitchen which meant when either the kitchen door or front door was open there was the most awful draft. It also wasn’t particularly warm when doors were closed, no atmosphere to praise unfortunately.

                                                                                    Thank you for a lovely dinner to the staff at the Orange Tree. Such a shame you don’t do the Nut Roast as it was the best I’ve ever had . The veggie tart was good .
