    The Olive Tree is very local to us but it was the first time we visited and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Will certainly be returning

    I booked The Olive Tree as a special treat for my cousins visiting from overseas and a 95 year old aunty and could not have been more pleased. The food was hot and delicious, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly without being intrusive and the setting was idyllic. I will definitely be going there again (and again, and again....) .

    Friendly helpful staff. We did have to wait a little too long to get our initial order of drinks. The food was very good. Compliments to the chef. Near the end of the meal the television nearby was put on so people could watch football. I would not have sat where we were close to the TV if I had known it was coming on. Overall though, good service, very nice food and I would recommend you try it.

    Choice of starter and main was very good and catered for gluten and pork allergy. However, the sweet menu was very limited to just ice cream and Eaton messaged which has a lot of cream unsuitable for a lot of people. A gluten free apple/fruit crumble is a very good option and easy to produce. Service was very good.

    A friendly greeting, we were served by a young lady who smiled and was happily chatty. The food was very good and reasonably priced. My brother and I agreed that, this being our first visit here, it would not be our last.

    Have been before & really enjoyed my sandwich lunch , not on the menu this time . Went for toasted blt . Not very nice , seemed to be only toasted on one side ,so soggy , big leaf lettuce hanging out that was wilted . No taste or flavour at all .was very disappointed Not in a hurry to go back , shame because the time before was completely different

    Sadly, our experience of the Olive Tree was so disappointing that we didn’t stay. We had reserved a table, which was sited directly in front of the bar- not quite what we were hoping, staff were appalling. No greeting, no smile, it was like it was just too much effort to welcome us. Not sure what’s happened with the menu, but very un enticing. We visited last year and it was amazing, hence us returning- won’t be going back or recommending- such a shame.
