Join us on Christmas Day for a traditional, indulgent and tantalising 5 course menu complete with canapes and fizz on arrival, vegetarian option and the best ingredients the region has to offer. Adults £95 and children £55. We require a 50% deposit to secure the booking, with the remaining balance paid by the 1st December along with your pre-order. Prefer it for a pint. My partners meal was very nice, crab soup was delicious. Sunday roast was average, however you get a lot for your money!!

Menu wasn’t as advertised! My main course came and I had to send it back as it was cold! The chicken Kiev was so over cooked it was dry and had bones in it, no garlic butter. Didn’t like dogs in the dining room! Service wasn’t great either! Been here several times previously and never had a problem with food or service. There were 6 of us dining and it wasn’t a great experience so there’s no way we will be back.

Really atmospheric bar area , quirky pub with lots of different rooms to eat. Bit basic area in the downstairs standard restaurant but food really good , crab soup excellent. Price of beer was expensive at £5.50 a pint.

Had the Pie of the Day , Steak and Mushroom. the pastry was very hard and had to be soaked in gravy to soften it. The Filling wa an extremley small portion, Would have fited in an eggcup and very lttle meat. The Vegetables were fine. For £18, not fair value.

WE have been to the Olde Ship on a number of occasions and booked a table for Sunday lunch to avoid disappointment. However o this occasion we were met with excuses of under staffing as soon as we arrived. One guest ordered chicken but was informed that this was only served as a sharing platter. I ordered beef however it was very sinewy & tough and I had to leave quite a lot of the portion. Very disappointing.

Fabulous old pub with bags of character - very busy on Saturday evening but restaurant quiet and peaceful - perfect for meal. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Food was fantastic
