Our nautical-themed pub decorated with fishing and marine artifacts has a beer garden overlooking the Seahouses harbour, a smart dining room where evening meals and Sunday lunches are served, a fascinating bar area where drinks can be enjoyed which exhibits the best of our maritime artefacts and a snug for those wishing to enjoy snacks with their drinks. Located only 15 minutes from neighbouring Bamburgh and Beadnell, this is a great spot for holiday makers and locals alike.

Join us on Christmas Day for a traditional, indulgent and tantalising 5 course menu complete with canapes and fizz on arrival, vegetarian option and the best ingredients the region has to offer. Adults £95 and children £55. We require a 50% deposit to secure the booking, with the remaining balance paid by the 1st December along with your pre-order. The team will reach out to arrange this with you.

Can’t fault the staff. Very friendly and attentive. I ordered the crispy chicken Kiev. Never had Kiev this way and nothing else took my fancy. It was very crispy the chicken was nice and took my other halfs coleslaw as it was a big piece and chicken can be dry. Other than that all good

My son who dined at the Ship Inn a few weeks ago previously, recommended it for a meal. My wife and I both chose the Fish and Chips, and they were outstanding Would certainly recommend it. The range of Hand pulled beers was also fantastic.

Shocking food and service at an expensive cost. We ate here on the last night of our holiday as a treat for my sons 14th birthday. I had previously advised the restaurant it was his birthday 🎂 I also reminded them on the evening and asked if they would put a candle in his desert or someone but the desert came out empty.... then I spoke with the lady and she did nothing. They offered to knock the price off the bill but by this time it was to late the evening that was meant to be special was ruined. The food was greasey and for the cost of £18 ppl I think a Sunday roast it was not good. Over priced and poor. It took over 45 before the lady came over asking if we were waiting for something of which we had to advise yes our food, she blankly walked away came back to say it won't be long and then 20 min later it turned up.... To be honest I was shocked and appalled by the service. We ordered a bottle of wine for £24 and when the bill came they tried to charge £33. If I had not of noticed then we would have been massively over charged. What a shame our night was spoilt, I wouldn't bother going here it's not worth the £95 spent for 3 people. I have paid less then this in Manchester for a top quality meal.

Disappointed. We visited 2 years ago and were looking forward to returning for their wonderful crab soup. Instead my husband was given something red in a bowl that hadn’t had a crab anywhere near it. He complained and was brought a bowl of soup that was the right creamy colour and had crab in it but nothing like the previous experience. The other food we had was OK but not exceptional. I understand the pub has changed hands but it is not the lovely place it used to be.

Quirky decor with lots of little rooms and bar areas. Lovely staff and delicious food. Seated in dog friendly area. Would recommend booking ahead. Really cosy bar too.

Nice food. We particularly liked that dogs are not allowed in main dining area. We dislike the ‘dog friendly’ stance that many eating places have taken in recent years. Not everyone likes dogs and they are not hygienic

Had dinner here on a Friday evening, friendly atmosphere, not too busy, good variety on menu. However, service was very slow, meal took over 40 minutes to arrive and then when the bill arrived there was an automatic service charge of 20% which I felt was unwarranted and a bit cheeky considering the amount of time we had to wait for food - with no explanation or apology.
