In 2016 the Old School BBQ was born, using a freshly imported 1982 Bluebird International American school bus from Arizona as a mobile kitchen.

The bus was converted from a traditional seated bus to a fully functional kitchen, with smokers and griddles to cook low and slow BBQ food.  The OSB journey had begun, trading from humble beginnings on a local pub car park in Failsworth. 

Our little yellow bus soon became a familiar landmark and we became more and more popular with lunch goers who wanted freshly prepared, appetising food served with a smile.  Soon demand meant that we would be more often than not greeting our customers with a "sold out" sign, so it was time to expand.

So here we are, with a covered seated area serving our firm favourites, complemented with a fully licenced bar and WC facilities... did we mention the stage?  That's right, we also provide live music from various acts from near and far - we are sure you will find our eatery to be like no other!

    Absolutely lovely food and cocktails, we went in at the end of the England match so it was a brilliant atmosphere. All the staff were lovely and so helpful. Will definitely be going again!

    Really good relaxed atmosphere, they were showing the football on a big screen which we didn’t know would be happening (England euros 24 quarter finals) not sure if they always show sport or not. This did mean it was quite loud but it wasn’t too loud- we were sat at the back corner so a bit out of the way. Live music came on after the football- that was quite loud but the singer was very good.

    Food was amazing. Great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. Great for families if they want a different experience. Always a great time I have been going years and it only gets better. Thanks guys 😆

    Good venue, would recommend. Large portions would choose different with that in mind. A lot going on pool. Car rides for kids etc. Have been before and preferred it less busy in terms of what is there so stripped back to a restaurant rather than trying to be all things to all people. No act on thought on fave book one planned. Hiccup with order ie too many meals first able but the waitress checked so no issue. Had to wait quite a while for food. Coleslaw recipe changed still good but was better. Overall good.

    Great unique place to eat, child friendly, super helpful and friendly staff going above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Would recommend. Menu changes too so not the same stuff all the time.

    This was a little bit of a disappointment to be honest. We were really looking forward to coming here for a belated Father’s Day celebration. The service wasn’t very good il be honest, wasn’t given basic things like a menu or cutlery. The food was ridiculously priced, £25 for half a rack of ribs! It was 3 pieces of ribs!!! With chips, beans and salad. Way too over priced for the portion you receive. Albeit food was tasty and good quality
