In 2016 the Old School BBQ was born, using a freshly imported 1982 Bluebird International American school bus from Arizona as a mobile kitchen.

The bus was converted from a traditional seated bus to a fully functional kitchen, with smokers and griddles to cook low and slow BBQ food. The OSB journey had begun, trading from humble beginnings on a local pub car park in Failsworth.

Our little yellow bus soon became a familiar landmark and we became more and more popular with lunch goers who wanted freshly prepared, appetising food served with a smile. Soon demand meant that we would be more often than not greeting our customers with a "sold out" sign, so it was time to expand.

So here we are, with a covered seated area serving our firm favourites, complemented with a fully licenced bar and WC facilities... did we mention the stage? That's right, we also provide live music from various acts from near and far - we are sure you will find our eatery to be like no other!

I’ve been to the BBQ bus several times since it opened including before it had its permanent site in Hollinwood. The venue itself has come on leaps and bounds over the years and has a much cosier feel now, you wouldn’t realise you are in a big tent, it’s clean, warm and dry. Ambience was good and service good and the little additions like the pool table and projector screen annd deserts counter are a nice touch. The food wasn’t bad but I just don’t think it was as good as when it was just Mark in the bus at the Pole on his own. This probably comes with the demand of the place though and having to turn out more food for more customers. The food was still very nice though, it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for and you can tell from the taste that the ingredients used are quality ones. A repeat customer who will no doubt be back again soon.

The food was delicious and arrived in a good amount of time. The restaurant was busy but plenty of staff to give good service. I love that they're constantly updating the place; it's great that they've got a pool table now. The band were good and created a fun atmosphere. OSB is one of my favourite places in the area, it never disappoints.

Excellent food and great service by Billy and the team . Looked after us really well . Definitely go there again when in Oldham .

Great night for my husbands birthday, we wanted to go for the music as well as the food. the food was fantastic and really enjoyed the music until staff came over and told us we had to leave as they needed the table, there was a few tables empty and was 8.45 and no one queuing to come in. Thought this was very disappointing as we were still drinking and enjoying the evening and there was at least 3 tables of 4 empty 🙃

Our "go to" place to eat. Fantastic & tasty food as always with plentiful portion sizes. Impeccable customer service & great atmosphere too. Big shout out to Mark & his whole team who make a huge effort to look after you.

Who knew??? Live so close to this venue and finally got here! AMAZING!! Food, service, ambience was fab! Will definitely be my new go to for an impromptu meal out We really enjoyed it

We dined at the OSB for a birthday celebration. The staff were brilliant and the food was amazing. There was an artist on called Megan who was really good at all types of music especially country. We will definitely be back and would recommend to everyone.
