What a lovely warm and inviting pub! Food was excellent and varied and catered well for one of our party who is Caeliac. The chef came to our table to say hello and to tell us she could adapt most of the menu to be gluten free. We will definitely be making another visit in the very near future.

We ate dinner at the Old Pheasant and it was a pleasant surprise. The menu is fairly standard pub fare but well cooked and with some interesting additions such as pulled pork on the burger. They dealt with a dairy allergy extremely efficiently. The bar and restaurant have a lovely ambience and the staff were all very helpful and friendly.

The Old Pheasant was exceptional. It has been under new management since August. Bernard is in charge and incredibly passionate about the service, providing affordability and a high standard of fresh food. The hotel rooms have been redecorated to a very high standard and are very affordable. We had a wonderful evening here and will be back! Tom and Anna

Been to the Old Pheasant quite a few times. Going to meet the new owners was a bit of trip into the unknown, but we need not have worried. The welcome was very warm and the comfortable restaurant still had the familiar 'olde worlde' charm. The menu of pub favourites, plus pizzas and burgers, gave plenty of choices for our party of six. Service was quick and the meals were good value for money. It was a welcome return after the place went very 'up market' and pricey last year.

Beautiful pub … fabulous food. ALL staff we encountered were not just polite & helpful the reception was genuine and friendly from being assisted to enter the building through the wrong door to being meeted & greeted by a lovey waitress which made it a pleasure to eat there … of course a big thanks to the chief and team, that was lovely tasty food, it really was relaxed easy service staff offered contributed by the venue and atmosphere. Lastly all, we had a drink and a Sunday dinner for 3 and it cost £65 quid. You will not be disappointed … thank you The Old Pheasant … you were definitely worth the drive from Leicester What you see on the website … is exactly what you enter too … would love to spend a night if those rooms looks as those on your website…with those prices … I think I’m going to have a night there lol I genuinely can’t comment on the managenent for no other reason other than clearly we didn’t need to speak to them, no compliant whatsoever ever 😊 I think it’s the only time i can say it was actually a pleasure to hand over my £65 … that good in all ways. A special night out with the mrs … bring her here 🤗

So good to have the Old Pheasant up and running after a period of closure. We had a special occasion to celebrate with a few friends, and the team made the occasion very memorable. The service was excellent and the food was well presented and very good. A couple of the main dishes were fairly small in portion, but the puddings, which were very good made up for that. The new management are very receptive to any feedback and are keen to put this lovely village pub back where it belongs, at the heart of the community. We will definitely return in the not too distant.
