Samuel Squires, our award winning Head Chef at The Old Crown Coaching Inn, has devised a range of menus for the hotel where you can enjoy three different types of cuisines and atmospheres in our restaurant, wine bar & public bar area.

To the rear of the hotel, you will find our 80 seater restaurant. Where you can enjoy terrific food carefully crafted with an innovative twist on fine dining.

Our Wine & Cocktail bar at the heart of The Crown offers a range of fine wines, cocktails and sharing platters, such as our charcuterie boards.

Finally, our main bar offers a more relaxed experience where you can enjoy a delicious meal off our pub menu.

We heard great things about The Crown, and we now understand why. The roast was a really delicious meal, with beautiful roast potatoes, tender meat and great Yorkshire puddings…up there with the best roasts we’ve had! We loved the little touches that made the roast so flavourful. The room, itself was a lovely space, although a lacking in the period charm we expected from a building with a long history. Ugly chairs and artwork, it could benefit from an injection of historic character. Never-the-less, we will certainly return to try other items on the menu. Yum.

Went with a group 14 from FERNHAM to their Octobeerfest great atmosphere we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening

We've previously had excellent service here, but this time, we were let down on what was a special occasion for us. The burgers were great but the service was lacking; it seemed the staff were busy setting up for a themed night, and the only person available in the bar was not paying attention. It's such a shame. We were really looking forward to celebrating our move to Faringdon over lunch, and it all fell rather flat. I hope it was a one-off as the food really was good.

What an awesome place to have dinner! The ballroom is a wonderful setting, spacious with a wonderful ambiance. The staff were attentive and there when needed. The supper club menu was superb, so tasty and balanced. A great experience all round.

Food was not worth the price. I had the Kiev and it was served with a small selection of vegetables for £26. Breakfast was good though.

Delightful dinner at The Old Crown Coaching Inn on their Thursday Supper Club. The main was roasted cauliflower with pomegranate, mint, and tahini. Absolutely delightful, the flavours were superb. The OH doesn't like cauliflower, but his plate was clean! The hake was perfectly cooked, soft and moist, and the samphire wasn't too salty. Having eaten at an Oxford College (the food was mostly delicious there I have to say) where the samphire was so salty it was almost inedible, this was somewhat of a revelation I have to admit! The Chocolate Delice for desert was strongly flavoured but neither too bitter nor too sweet, and the coffee ice cream was scrumptious. The OH said he'd happily buy a bucketful. For the first time eating out after abdominal surgery it was fantastic. Light, flavoursome, delicious, satisfying. What more can I say?
