Nice pub in nice surroundings next to the canal, service was good. Service & Attention was good but the food all be it “ Pub Grub” was disappointing Prawn cocktail was 6 small prawns drowned in 4 huge slices of Gem lettuce, certainly not worth £9.99!!! Mixed grill was average, burger was ok. We certainly didn’t expect Michelin star but the food can be improved.

Lovely pub and food. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend the veggie roast. Need to sort out not being able to leave an electronic tip. I never carry cash

When we first arrived the bar service and ordering of food was brilliant however from then on the service went downhill. The food was ok, very small portions for the starters. I had the prawn salad and there were around 5 small prawns. For £9 I think that’s a bit mean. We had the Sunday lunch for our mains. The roast potatoes could have done with another half an hour in the oven and the same for the parsnips. My beef was a little tough. We would have mentioned this however no one came over to ask how the meal was. We wanted to order more drinks and my partner wanted to try a dessert however the staff seemed to be chatting amongst themselves at the bar so much so that we went to the bar and asked for the bill so we skipped another drink and the dessert. It’s really disappointing to write this as we’d heard so many good things but based on our experience, we wouldn’t visit again.

We live in Rochdale and travel here because nit only is the food spot on but the customer service and welcome you get, also makes it. The setting, beside the canal is beautiful and they've obviously worked very hard making the outside look so pretty. We'll definitely be back.

Waited quite a long time once we had ordered our food and when it did eventually turn up the food had been overcooked and I won’t be going back again

We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite quiet… Unfortunately on the day they had been reduced to one chef and there was a gap in service, however as we had booked they honoured our reservation. Staff are friendly and polite, the pub is nice in a great location although car park a little tight.. The food for the money was superb… perfectly cooked, really tasty and homemade dips rather than the usual ketchups etc. Worth the visit!

Made it our local go to for pub grub & a beer. Great service, nice quality food & great location. Hope they keep up the service level’s 🌞
