   I made my NYE dinner reservations on Open Table for 4 guests at 7:30 pm . I received confirmations and reminders by email. When we arrived at The Ocean View we were advised it was a ‘private party for NYE’ and they were not serving dinner. I told the host I had confirmed reservations on Open Table and he seemed confused even after I showed him what I had received on my phone . He said the private party was $125 per head with open bar. I wasn’t interested in that. I asked him to work with us to some accommodation as this was an error on their part. He offered me a reduced rate with a free round of drinks. (It was NYE and raining - not a lot of options to go somewhere else). We stayed. Ate at the buffet and had a drink and dessert. The wait staff was great. I hope the management fixes this issue with Open Table reservations - or shuts it down if not accepting dinner reservations. I’ve always enjoyed The Ocean View and would go back again. Just won’t use Open Table.

   My server was excellent! It was a very slow night around 4 people in the restaurant. The appetizers were ok, but the entree was hot on the top and cold on the bottom. I had the seafood manicotti. And I was so disappointed because I wanted to try this so bad. And the lobster was chewy. But my waitress was fantastic!

   We had a fabulous brunch outside looking at the ocean. Unfortunately, our waitress was horrible.

   Very nice ambience and views of the ocean. The food was good and the service was good. Quite satisfied.

   Our waitress made the entire evening! Beautiful 20 year old superstar asking six 76 year olds for “ best advice “ and really listening. Service was exceptional!

   Arianna was amazing and attentive she also was training a girl who also was very good and friendly. The food could have been more and better presentation. We also enjoyed the DJ and games

   We were a table of 6 Our waitress Melanie was fantastic took care of everything we need I remember the prime rib was cut in front of you made it possible to have the Carver at the station to cook you up the way you liked your meat I liked that all in all we had a great meal and a great time

    I recently visited Ocean View Restaurant in Seaside Heights with high hopes for a delightful Sunday brunch experience, only to be met with profound disappointment and frustration. Promising carving stations, omelet stations, and a full menu, the restaurant's online advertisement on OpenTable had set our expectations soaring. However, upon arrival, our excitement quickly turned to disbelief as we found the restaurant eerily empty, with no need for reservations. Our dismay only deepened when we discovered that the promised brunch was nowhere to be found, and instead, we were presented with an a la carte menu. This glaring discrepancy between expectation and reality felt like a betrayal of trust--a classic case of false advertisement that left us feeling cheated. Despite this initial setback, we decided to give the restaurant a chance, primarily because we had already paid for parking in advance. Regrettably, the culinary experience did little to redeem the situation. The food, to put it bluntly, was mediocre at best. The potatoes arrived cold, the eggs were disappointingly runny, and the overall quality failed to live up to even modest expectations. Adding insult to injury, our interactions with the staff only served to exacerbate our frustration. Throughout the meal, our waiter was conspicuously absent, failing to return to our table for a quality check or to offer a refill of coffee--despite our clear need for one. The lack of attentiveness and basic courtesy left us feeling neglected and undervalued as customers. To cap off an already dismal experience, we found ourselves unable to even secure our bill, as attempts to flag down our waiter went unanswered. In the end, we were forced to take matters into our own hands and seek out assistance at the bar--a final indignity in an experience rife with disappointments.
