We always have a wonderful experience at The Oak House. From greeting to service to food and drink, everything was outstanding. They take great care to ensure we have what we need and special requests are always carefully tended to. They also have a dedicated fryer so those with a gluten allergy can safely eat their delicious fries. The room can get a little loud so dine early if you prefer quiet- that’s what we do. Thank you to Jess, Josh, Danny, Brian, Tony and the whole team for making a regular night out feel special.

The servers were very nice but seemed they couldn’t get it together. Maybe training, maybe short staffed. Bartender was a bit off with the drinks (not consistent).

Brian was our Server and was friendly and professional. Great idea about Valet Parking. Suggestion: put a notation on your website to warn people, especially those coming south on Kinderkamack Rd. I flew right by the new entrance. Unlike the other restaurant in Oradell, I applaud you for not tagging on the 3% credit card fee. That’s the proper thing to do in the “Spirit” of EXCELLENT client service!! I will be sure to share that information with friends. Will be back soon! Great evening. Wish it wasn’t so loud, though!😀

This was not my first time dining here. I came to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my husband. I had requested a quiet table. They sat us in the middle of the large back dining room! We would have been better in one of the smaller side sections because there were three big parties in the back and two had babies at the table. The waitress came and took our drink order. I had the secret garden. It was delicious and tasted like summer in a glass. My husband ordered the filet and truffle fries and I had the Chilean sea bass over butternut risotto. My husband filet was cooked to perfection. The French fries however were soggy. My sea bass was very tasty, but the risotto was more of a butternut squash soup with rice. Too watery. The waitress never returned to see if we wanted drink refills. I would have loved another drink, but sipped on my water.

The ambiance was classy. The waiter was kind and attentive and didn't mind all of our inane questions about the nature of graham cracker ice cream. The food was delicious. I ordered the Cesar salad with salmon and it managed to feel health and indulgent.

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and ordered mozzarella sticks, expecting nothing special and then asked for bread to dip into the accompanying marinara sauce? That was just the tip off. The bread was doughy and crispy. My salmon burger, while tasting more of herbs than salmon, was hearty and tasty and filling, served on a brioche bun with a sauce and pickle chips. We had an attentive waiter. The restaurant’s interior was casual and inviting. If I were the menu creator, I’d have put dessert on it. I assume they served dessert but I suspect it was on a separate menu. I think I’d have tried something had I seen it, just out of curiosity. We left feeling full and satisfied and would definitely return. I wish they had outdoor seating too.

The atmosphere was very nice and the service...exceptional....not enough parking and menu was a bit more limited than I like but overall....a very nice evening!
