Join us for the very best of modern British dining looking out over Cheltenham's newest, iconic and timeless vista.

The Nook On Five uses produce from the best butchers, fishmongers, grocers, creameries, distilleries and vineyards to create dishes and experiences both fun and fine.

Serving Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner, take in mouth-watering bites overlooking the Cotswolds and the rooftops of Montpellier.

Headed up by Alisha Phillpotts, the kitchen carefully selects the finest produce to cook up a refined evening à la carte menu, alongside a fab lunch and all day menu of modern British classics and twists.

The bar and cellar offers an extensive English section to our wine list and serve up some fantastic cocktails which you can take out to our rooftop terrace.

Enjoy afternoon tea with us at the Nook. We freshly prepare our cakes, scones and sandwiches every day. We tend to always have a Macaron, a chocolate and a sponge. Allergies & Dietaries- Please let us know of any dietary or allergy requirements in advance of your booking. Because we make everything fresh we need to make tailored products in advance. If we do not get this in advance, accommodating your requirements could take up to 1 hour from the time you arrive as we will be baking those cakes fresh for you on the day.
Private Dining Room - Chef's Table Experience

Enjoy the ultimate Chef's Table experience with a 7 course Tasting Menu including wine pairing and interactions with our chefs about each course. Your group will be completely private from the restaurant so you can enjoy exclusive dining in our Private Dining Room with a recommended maximum of 10 guests. £1000 minimum spend required at the point of booking. We require at least 1 week's notice period. OpenTable does not enable us to monitor this. Therefore, if you are booking within this timeframe your booking may be cancelled and your £1000 deposit will be returned to you. Our family meal together was enhanced by the quality of our food, the attentive service we received and the general ambiance of our surroundings. In other words a lovely occasion.

Came to the Nook for a date night with my partner. Walking into the downstairs bar area was beautiful and was greeted with a warm welcome from the door staff. Got to the restaurant and service was outstanding, very quick, friendly, welcoming, and helpful! Started with the sourdough which was incredible & the butter was beautiful. For the mains we got recommended the Chicken and it was the best recommendation from the menu we had, we also had the duck too which was equally delicious! We finished with a Cherry Sorbet which I left wanted the whole tub! We definitely got great value food for what we paid. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone in Cheltenham. Thank you to all the staff and chefs that severed us

We have dined at The Nook several times before & really enjoyed it. It was our go to restaurant when friends were visiting as it was consistently good. However this visit since the change in ownership & staff was disappointing. The food is still good but the portion sizes are very inconsistent. The steak was a decent size but the duck main course was only 2 small pieces of breast. Luckily I have a small appetite but my son & husband were really thankful they hadn't chosen it despite it being beautifully cooked. The Tarte Tatin was delicious but huge ( the size of a tea plate). The front of house staff while very friendly need more training. We were not asked if we wanted bread or olives while choosing our food, we were not asked or advised on side dishes to accompany our main course. Luckily we managed to request them before the staff member left, as the duck in particular really needed sides as otherwise it would have been the size of a starter. Bizarrely the sides were very large portions. They no longer have a dedicated sommelier which really showe.d. We ordered a South African Merlot from a particular vineyard & were brought an Italian Merlot & told it was equivalent. So we chose another wine. In fact 3 wines we chose off the menu were no longer available. Overall it all felt very disjointed & amateurish but more expensive than before. Hopefully this is just teething problems & we will give it one more try in a while. However if it stays as it is, there are better restaurants at this price point in Cheltenham .

We came with friends to celebrate our birthdays and were not disappointed The only thing that late it down was the main lift was broken and we had to walk round to the other lift then walk up the two flights of stairs - but we made it ! One of us had mobility issues and uses a Walker to help her walk but made it!

Excellent service with great tasting food presented well We would recommend the brill ravioli heritage carrots and the duck with outstanding apple tart tartan! It was all wonderful.

Wonderful food in a fabulous location. Food and service were faultless. Would highly recommend. The views over Cheltenham just add to the overall brilliant experience.

We had a voucher for afternoon tea with half bottle of English sparkling wine, when the wine arrived it was Spanish cava, we told the waiter who told us they didn’t have any white only rose so changed it for that, then they charged us for a full bottle not the upgrade from half bottle. The food was ok but the Victoria sponge was rock solid. Don’t think we will visit again.

Food and views in the restaurant were really very good. The service, however, very intermittent from the waiting staff. Others diners were given menus on arrival, we had to ask for menus. Other diners on arrival were greeted and coats taken to a cloak room, nobody asked to take our coats on arrival or throughout the meal so we had to tuck them behind us. Every customer should be treated the same considering you are paying a service charge.
