Renowned for its striking red décor, original artwork, and friendly ambience, The New York Bar blends traditional hospitality with innovative cocktails, gin-tasting experiences, and live music. We also have a Champagne trolley, showcasing a selection to choose from.

The talented bar team are passionate about creating a great lounge bar experience through impeccable service, generous hospitality and expert knowledge. There is a delicious bar menu, alongside a cocktail menu which offers a journey from early signature classics through to modern mixology, as well as delicious infusions and table theatre cocktails.

The New York Bar provides the perfect setting for luxury date nights, after-work drinks, pre-dinner cocktails and laid-back lunch meetings. Our bar menu - filled with a variety of tantalising light bites, indulgent sandwiches, and comfort food specialities - offers the perfect accompaniment, whatever the occasion.

The New York Bar provides the perfect setting for luxury date nights, after-work drinks, pre-dinner cocktails or pre-theatre dinings. The Pre-Theatre menu includes Sharing Stand options such as Peking Duck Steamed Buns, Soft Shell Crab and Cheeseburger Spring Rolls or main course and dessert options. Opt for Buttermilk Chicken Schnitzel Club, Grilled Globe Artichokes (ve) or Fish & Chip Shop Experience followed by signature dishes such as Bea Tollman’s Baked Vanilla Cheesecake or Saffron Poached Pear (ve). Wicked and Hamilton are a short walk from The Rubens at the Palace, making a visit to see the show even easier for our guests. Half the menu that was on here wasn’t on the menu in the restaurant. I also stated it was a special birthday and they didn’t have a clue. Also seemed shocked when we arrived. A lot of running around and getting everyone’s orders mixed up for a restaurant that wasn’t very busy. Food was mediocre, toastie and McCain fries. They also just assumed we were there for drinks when again I mentioned on open table that it was for a birthday and that we wanted food and drinks. Probably wouldn’t go again

Got to the bar and no one showed us to the table, no one came to take our order and left after a while due to the poor service

Really wanted to like this place and the staff were very friendly. However, it took nearly 40 mins to receive our drinks order (one cocktail and a coke) and for most of the time we were there there was no one behind the bar. For a place described as a “bar” and which charges around £17 for a martini, that’s not a great look. In fairness I got the impression they were understaffed and as I say I could not fault the staff members on their courtesy. But at this price point it shouldn’t take 40 mins to get a drink. The food was decent but too expensive. c£26 for a burger and a small-ish portion of fries. I will go back at some point as maybe we caught them on a bad day and luckily we weren’t in any hurry. I just hope it was a one off.
