The award-winning New London restaurant has been on Chelmsford’s dining and social scene since October 2013 and it still is a relaxed yet sophisticated dining venue. The venue is full of elegance and glamour – now more than ever after an incredible redesign in March 2018.

We have a reputation for seasonally inspired menus with a unique approach to homemade food which makes the New London restaurant a special place to visit.

We pride ourselves on our excellent service with a personal touch. All our staff are proud of, and knowledgeable about, our dishes, wines and cocktails.

We offer only the best locally sourced and seasonal British produce including fresh seafood, locally sourced ingredients and foraged herbs. All our dishes are served in the inimitable style that has helped it garner so many compliments and awards since opening.

Ely to see the restaurant buzzing, we have been for quite a while and was so pleased to see it had changed and the food and staff were still as great as before

We had a lunch time booking and I’ve got to say what a gem… our little lunch time group travel around the country searching out all the top restaurants and I’ve got to say The London is up there… food and service fantastic would definitely go back.

We went at a not particularly busy lunchtime there were two tables occupied. The food was very good , all very well cooked , nice accompaniments and the fixed price menu represents good value in this day and age. The music was a little loud and the overall ambience is a little dark. If you have lots of time and don't mind waiting then this place is good for a leisurely lunch but we were there for 2 hours and had starters and mains so its not the quickest service ever , courteous and friendly however.

The food is lovely. There is really no where else that delivers food of this quality, so beautifully presented, in Chelmsford. It is our favourite restaurant for special occasions.
