The award-winning New London restaurant has been on Chelmsford’s dining and social scene since October 2013 and it still is a relaxed yet sophisticated dining venue. The venue is full of elegance and glamour – now more than ever after an incredible redesign in March 2018.

We have a reputation for seasonally inspired menus with a unique approach to homemade food which makes the New London restaurant a special place to visit.

We pride ourselves on our excellent service with a personal touch. All our staff are proud of, and knowledgeable about, our dishes, wines and cocktails.

We offer only the best locally sourced and seasonal British produce including fresh seafood, locally sourced ingredients and foraged herbs. All our dishes are served in the inimitable style that has helped it garner so many compliments and awards since opening.

It was mine and my friend Emily first time at the restaurant, we went there for lunch to celebrate our birthday. We really had an amazing time, food was delicious and the atmosphere was great.

We celebrated my wife's birthday at the New London but the evening was somewhat spoiled by the poor main course that she received. My wife ordered a fillet steak that turned out to be so tough as to be inedible. She was advised that all the steak available was the same and so had to order a different main meal. It is unusual for a restaurant to be unable to provide a decent fillet steak.

I booked the table for my wife birthday and I request for the nice table, unfortunately they didn’t give us the table we wanted instead our table was in the middle of the entrance, which we refused and we chose another one for 4 .The lady who was with us didn’t even say sorry for that . We ordered our drinks and food, then during eating our nibbles starters arrived, no one even checked if we ready or clean the plates before serve starters, so we mention to the waiter to delay our mains. When we finished our drinks , we waited 25 minutes to be approached by any staff who passed our table numerous times if we want some more, unfortunately we have to call waiter and ask for drinks. Overall we are happy with the food, was really delicious, but the customer service absolutely did not deliver, we felt not satisfied at all, it was my wife birthday and nothing complementary drink or dessert was offered, we just moved to Chelmsford from London and we were looking forward to find nice restaurant but because of the poor quality service we are not sure if we will come back.
