Every bit the welcoming country pub you may well be hoping to stumble upon around Bournheath, The Nailers Arms attracts a loyal clientele from Bromsgrove and beyond, drawn by the delicious food (available seven days a week) as well as a wide selection of quality beers, wines and spirits and that welcoming atmosphere only possible in a truly local institution. Phil and Shula Witherford are the passionate couple behind this popular bar and contemporary restaurant on Doctors Hill, a place which is hard to leave without a personal promise to the publican that you’ll be back to get your fill again before too long.

1st visit .we thought we'd try this place after a recommendation about he food from a work colleague. the nailer's arms is such lovely relaxing pub .the food was amazing .i had the salmon and my husband had the 16oz steak .he said it was the best steak he'd ever had . 2nd visit.i had the lasagne and garlic bread and my husband had the steak again.the portions are quite big so i wont have the additional items next time.we haven't tried the carvery yet. the desserts are just as good and so is the service TIP; it does get busy so book up a few days in advance

Very disappointing experience. The buffet looked unappetising and some containers were nearly empty. Food was cold. Garlic potatoes were undercooked roast potatoes were not roast no crisp skin, green beans and peas were different colours and at varying stages of being cooked to overcooked. The atmosphere was awful due to a child screaming and crying nearly all the time we were there. The waitress started clearing the table before we had all finished, one person was still eating

First time here, had a carvery, the best carvery weve had in ages. Staff were friendly. Only negative was that it took ages to be served, both at the bar and while sitting at our table

Over the last 9 years we have been here many times for a carvery and always enjoyed our food & service. However, on this occasion we waited a long for our vegetarian gravy to arrive and when it did we had eaten most of our meal by that time. The waitress didn’t take our order for the gravy so we had to wait for it to be made which is why we had to wait a long time for it. Also, the food wasn’t particularly hot. We waited sometime for the waitress to take our desert order, and in the end we had to ask her if we could place the order. The restaurant wasn’t very busy that evening so it was disappointing the service wasn’t up to its usual standard.

Nice food, reasonable prices, pleasant staff. My son is gluten free and the options for him were very limited. There was nowhere near enough custard with the apple crumble pudding. But overall a nice venue.

Excellent in every way. Cannot faulty anything. Food is exceptional, coupled with great ambience and service. Would recommend with no hesitation. Well done guys!

Lovely Calvary would just like it to be a bit hotter however all carverys seem to be the same otherwise beautifully clean and enjoyable will use again

Carvery was delicious hot veg and meat was nice and tender …some of guests had food from menu again delicious..nice friendly atmosphere and clean

Great food and everything apart from my elderly father needed to use the disabled toilet, we waited and waited but it was in use. So he had to go to the normal gents toilet which was difficult for him. While I was waiting outside the gents I noticed firstly a member of staff coming out possibly kitchen staff then when he came out to my disbelief another member when straight in. Does the Nailers have staff toilets!
