WELCOME TO THE MULE.
We’re not your traditional Mexican place. We just happen to think that tacos are a dish best served fun, with a side of liquor. Welcome to The Mule, where tacos, tequila and bourbon come to party.
Located in one of Hamilton’s most beautiful spaces, we think we’ll be your new favourite lunch spot, your regular late-night haunt and your go-to destination for a good drink. Our bartenders have crafted a bourbon- and tequila-focused cocktail menu that will surprise and fascinate, and we also have a variety of beers on tap.
And don’t forget the food. From baja wings to brisket tacos, our menu offers an approachable and fresh twist on your favourite flavours from way down south. Our tacos range from classic Mexican to weird-and-wild-you’ve-gotta-try-this. All of our food is 100% gluten-free and we offer a variety of fare that is sure to delight your vegetarian and vegan side.

Book your table for our November Rock 'N Roll Bingo night here, hosted by Hub of the Hammer! Rock 'N Roll Bingo starts at 8pm, and with this booking your table will be reserved for the duration of the entertainment. Please book the appropriate sized table for your group/team, as we have limited availability to move bookings around to accommodate different reservations sitting together. Bring in a rubber duckie (any size) to add to our decor and be entered to win a MULE Tee at the end of the event!

If you are looking to join us for a standard reservation on this evening, and you're NOT looking to participate in Rock 'n Roll Bingo, you're in the right place! Please note that your table will only be reserved for the standard seating windows (90 minutes for parties up 4 guests, and 2 hours for parties of 5+ guests). Please note that your table may overlap with our Bingo this evening, starting at 8pm. Participation is not required, but please anticipate a lively environment due to the other patrons. Only those who have booked specifically for Bingo will be guaranteed a table for the duration of the event.

The Mule never disappoints - their brussel sprout tacos are to die for! And their new sweet potato tacos are almost as good. Margaritas are the best outside of Mexico! Only one more thing - please open up a location in Toronto so we don't have to drive so far!

Had an outstanding brunch! I’ve not had gluten free chicken and waffles in years and it was such a treat! Great food, great ambiance and amazing service.

What happened to this place??? 1. Music was TOO LOUD. We had to speak loudly just to hear each other at our table. Which in turn makes others speak louder nearby. We asked our server if they could turn it down just a bit (and I’m not one of those that walks in to a restaurant and demands it be done by my way)…….we were told he would ask but not sure there’s much that can be done (and nothing was done)???? Unless the landlord controls the stereo and it’s under lock and key I find this answer to be utterly ridiculous. Last I checked the music is for the guests not the staff. 2. Wings - about the smallest they can possibly sell. The wings at Fortinos, No Frills, Dominos, any wing joint are much bigger. These weee child size - tasted pretty good but just poor to offer that small of size. Bigger wings and fewer of them perhaps so it doesn’t look so cheap. 3. Tacos - good flavour but a few were soggy and dripping and overpacked. The “liquid” in these would have turned a hard shell taco soft. 4. Desert - very good! Well done here! I’ve eaten here over a dozen times and not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon. Even if the food was 10/10 it’s way too loud!

The food is great and so is the service. Unfortunately it is so loud that you can't carry on a conversation and leave with a headache. If your sensitive to noise don't dine inside!

While we are thrilled that you enjoyed the food and our team, we are disheartened that the ambience made for a less than ideal dining experience. We are currently looking at improving the situation music volume and the echoes in the room.

We had SUCH a great experience at the Mule! We were very late because we were stuck in Toronto traffic and they were so kind and accommodating with making sure we would have a place to sit once we did arrive. When we got there we had less than an hour to eat before we had to get to the concert hall to see our show and again they were nothing but kind and accommodating! On top of that the food was AMAZING! The Brussel sprout tacos were crunchy and delicious! The mushroom tacos were also super good! The cocktails were inventive and delicious! I can’t recommend them more! If I could leave a million stars I would!
