WELCOME TO THE MULE.
We’re not your traditional Mexican place. We just happen to think that tacos are a dish best served fun, with a side of liquor. Welcome to The Mule, where tacos, tequila and bourbon come to party.
Located in one of Hamilton’s most beautiful spaces, we think we’ll be your new favourite lunch spot, your regular late-night haunt and your go-to destination for a good drink. Our bartenders have crafted a bourbon- and tequila-focused cocktail menu that will surprise and fascinate, and we also have a variety of beers on tap.
And don’t forget the food. From baja wings to brisket tacos, our menu offers an approachable and fresh twist on your favourite flavours from way down south. Our tacos range from classic Mexican to weird-and-wild-you’ve-gotta-try-this. All of our food is 100% gluten-free and we offer a variety of fare that is sure to delight your vegetarian and vegan side.

Book your table for our February Rock 'N Roll Bingo night here, hosted by Hub of the Hammer! Rock 'N Roll Bingo starts at 8pm, and with this booking your table will be reserved for the duration of the entertainment. Please book the appropriate sized table for your group/team, as we have limited availability to move bookings around to accommodate different reservations sitting together. Bring in a rubber duckie (any size) to add to our decor and be entered to win a MULE Tee at the end of the event!
Standard Dinner Reservation (NO BINGO)

If you are looking to join us for a standard reservation on this evening, and you're NOT looking to participate in Rock 'n Roll Bingo, you're in the right place! Please note that your table will only be reserved for the standard seating windows (90 minutes for parties up 4 guests, and 2 hours for parties of 5+ guests). Please note that your table may overlap with our Bingo this evening, starting at 8pm. Participation is not required, but please anticipate a lively environment due to the other patrons. Only those who have booked specifically for Bingo will be guaranteed a table for the duration of the event.

Fantastic service and casual punk-vibe atmosphere. Best margaritas ever! Six of us dined and we all enjoyed our various taco selections. Highly recommend The Mule. We will definite back.

Nice, slow approach to dining with good vibes. Fresh, really intriguing taco selection. Ceviche unusual...watery. Huge tequila selection. The hot sauces (ask for them) were very good...hot with flavor.

I brought my grandma here for the first time after visiting the RBG. It was her first time having Mexican as well as her first time having a margarita. When our server found out, it was my grandma‘s first time having a margarita she came back with a candle in the margarita, which was so cute! My grandma had the best time and enjoyed herself thoroughly. The food and drinks were delicious. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity during this visit 🥰

Excellent food and drinks- very unique in the city, wonderful flavours, super tasty dishes. I’m celiac and there weee no issues. I also can’t tolerate diary and there was no problem selecting a wide variety of dishes. Will definitely return!

The food is always great! I do not like how loud it is in there and the tables are top of one another. Our waitress was yelling because of the noise levels. They had to kick us out even though we were not done since they have max 1.5 hr reservations. I was not impressed by that but they did find us a spot at the bar so we could stay longer. I will consider another place that has no time restrictions next time.

For smaller groups, we do currently have seating times on our reservable so that we can accurately accommodate multiple reservations through the evening. For you next visit, please leave a note in your reservation and we will do our best to make sure that you have the time that you need to enjoy your visit.
