WELCOME TO THE MULE.

We’re not your traditional Mexican place. We just happen to think that tacos are a dish best served fun, with a side of liquor. Welcome to The Mule, where tacos, tequila and bourbon come to play.

Located in one of Cambridge's most treasured spaces, we think we’ll be your new favourite lunch spot, your regular late-night haunt and your go-to destination for a good drink. Our bartenders have crafted a bourbon- and tequila-focused cocktail menu that will surprise and fascinate, and we also have a variety of beers on tap.

And don’t forget the food. From baja wings to Brussels Sprouts tacos, chef Matthew Kershaw’s menu offers an approachable and fresh twist on your favourite flavours from way down south. Our tacos range from classic Mexican to weird-and-wild-you’ve-gotta-try-this. All of our food is 100% gluten-free and we offer a variety of fare that is sure to delight your vegetarian and vegan side.

Excellent service, excellent food and great vibe for a weekday place to gather with friends and family. Will definitely be back again and bring others along!

Small portion size for the amount they charge. $7 for a tiny taco seemed unreasonable. The ambience and service was decent

Thank you for the four star review, Amit. We do spend a lot of effort on using fresh, quality ingredients and unfortunately, that does come at a cost. Selling our tacos individually allows our guests can choose as many, or as few as they like. Typically, we recommend around 3, depending on personal appetite.

You simply have to get the margaritas and tacos. Guac also amazing. Love that it’s gluten free.

We ate dinner with friends. The tacos were excellent. We loved the variety of ingredients. Some were a little too spicy even though we mentioned that we preferred only a little spice. But that didn’t spoil the evening at all. Really enjoyed it.

Susan, we are happy to hear that you had a good time with us. Our apologies for the high heat levels. Pro Tip: ask for spicy on the side so that you can add as much or as little as you prefer.

Everything was excellent we made reservations or seated immediately and our food came drinks appetizers main meal. We were out of there in a little over 30 minutes, maybe too fast lol

Our waiter was excellent and the calamari was perfect as always. The tacos were all fabulous. Margaritas pitcher was a little light on the alcohol. Thank you for making your menu Gluten Free!!!!

We had a wonderful experience at The Mule. The service and attentiveness was outstanding and all of the staff were friendly and very helpful. Meaghan was personable and efficient. It was our Anniversary and we were touched by the personal touches and best wishes that they all offered …even a signed Anniversary card and a glasses of Prosecco were a wonderful addition. We now understand why The Mule was strongly recommended to us. We also would invite anyone who wants good, authentic food, a wide menu of drinks and a friendly, attentive staff to head to this funky, fine and festive eatery.

We had a wonderful experience at the mule yesterday for dinner, awesome atmosphere, great kids menu, kind staff and of course amazing food. It was our anniversary and they even wrote us a card! We'll be back forsure!
