    First time eating at this seafood restaurant and let me tell you the reviews are spot on. Started with new england clam chowder, shellfish platter, fried calamari, and since it was gorgia peach week, the peach toast. Everything was excellent. Probably the best chowder I have ever had. I didn't eat one chewy piece of calamari. Split sole milanese entree with side of jasmine rice and broccolini, also delicious. Dessert was a georgia peach ice cream sandwich. They smoked the icecream so I wasn't really into it but presentation was great, just a matter of preference. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're visiting Newport and you enjoy fresh and delicious seafood. Make sure you make a reservation for dinner as this is a very popular spot. Enjoy!!!

    OMG excellent stuffed lobster moist flavorful! Calamari excellent and so was the chopped salad Hannah our server fabulous so friendly and kind!! Best meal I had in Newport!

    Dining at The Mooring was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our boat ride was canceled, and we hoped to go to our reservations early, and they graciously accommodated us. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating a perfect setting for our meal. The staff, especially Jessica, was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring we felt welcome throughout our visit. The highlight, of course, was the food. Our pork chop was delicious and perfectly cooked. We particularly enjoyed our order from the raw bar, featuring fresh oysters, shrimp, and lobster claw. The drinks were also exceptional, perfectly complementing our meal. Overall, The Mooring consistently exceeds my expectations with its delicious cuisine, excellent service, and charming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

    The food, as well as the service, were both amazing. The one issue that I had was with the seating.. The placement of our two top table was directly on top of an air conditioner in the floor. This made cold air hit us the entire time, making the experience slightly less enjoyable. But overall everything was nice.

    Lobster / shrimp fritters had so much bread filling you could not taste the seafood. The buttered lobster roll was tasteless!

    We had a very good dining experience. Our waiter, Alvaros, was excellent -- attentive (without being intrusive), personable and professional, and knowledgeable. Food was very good; cooked to order, ample servings and excellent taste. Bag o' donuts and clam chowder were good, not great. Roasted cod, cheeseburger, lobster roll and fish and chips were all excellent. Bar drinks and choice of wines were excellent. The hostesses were very nice and welcoming. Ambience was super; had requested an outdoor table when we made reservation months ago, and we got a super table overlooking the marina at sunset. Our visitors were very pleased with the setting and food. We will be back and would definitely recommend.

    The wait staff were courteous, informative about the menu, portion sizes, helpful with allergy considerations and friendly. Food was delicious which included salads, the special fish of the day and desserts...all 3!! A definite great Newport spot that is now officially on the must go to again!

    The food is absolutely phenomenal! The lobster roll, bag of donuts, salads, and desserts! We’ve been here many times and have never been disappointed.

    We had a beautiful dinner outside on the deck. The sunset was gorgeous making it a perfect evening. The food was fantastic. We had the mussels appetizer and the sole milanese entree. Everything was delicious and the prices were very reasonable.
