The Monarch Club is a place like no other. Passing through the Metropolitan Building’s spectacular Great Hall hints at the elegant charm that awaits. The Monarch Club exudes both old-school intrigue and modern comfort, draped in tones of deep blue, red and gold that create a luxurious backdrop for incomparable city views. Located near attractions like Campus Martius, Corktown and Little Caesars Arena, enjoy a cocktail at one of the most expansive rooftop bars in downtown Detroit. Retreat to an intimate banquette or to the Tower Keep for a more private experience, or relax outdoors around a cozy firepit.     Great location and view. Limited menu with some items out of stock. Prices are higher than I remembered. Definitely paying for ambiance and view.

    Usually have a great experience here, but today the server wasn’t attentive at all. Maybe she was the only server, but even still she was very attentive to other tables but just kept only glancing at ours. However a big thank you to Thomas for making sure we were okay on her behalf. We just tipped him instead.

    If you get the chance to ask for Brendi, do it! What a great server. Miss Sandra sat us at a great table. Monarch Club is a place like no other. Thank you again for a great pregame experience

    If the rooftop patio isn't open, Monarch isn't really worth the expense: $20 for a cocktail, which tasted good. $20 for burrata, $18 for a flatbread -- both were OK, but the burrata was served with crackers out of a box, and the flatbread crust was akin to school cafeteria pizza. Our server disappeared into the kitchen for more than ten minutes after we asked for a water refill, and the place wasn't full. The patio was wet, so it was closed for "safety reasons." And they were thirty minutes late on getting reservations seated because they hadn't finished reconfiguring the seating after they decided to close the patio.

    Fun celebration night in Detroit. The only real negatives were that the service was pretty slow, and the small bites menu didn’t include any dessert items. Awesome location and uncrowded.

    Host was great. View of tigers stadium was amazing. Brisket sliders were good.

    We sat at the bar - both Courtney & George were attentive, engaging & skilled mixologists. The whitefish spread was tasty. We plan to return on our next Date Night in the city.

    Beautiful setting but the service was absolutely awful. Took 25 minutes to just get water and another 20 to get drinks. Server was rude. We left after one drink and didn’t even order food.

    The view was incredible.. the food was great. They serve small plates but we were able to get a few small plates which was nice to have a variety. Although they were out of 3 items we had asked for that were on the menu. The service was slow and subpar. It took a while to get the waitress once we sat, to get our drinks and when or food came out we didn’t have any napkins or silverware. Once the waitress came back we were done eating with greasy hands. Then she brought back cocktail napkins. They forgot one of our orders of food. Just not impressed with the service but the view and food were great. I would go back but definitely make a reservation.
