The Monarch Club is a place like no other. Passing through the Metropolitan Building’s spectacular Great Hall hints at the elegant charm that awaits. The Monarch Club exudes both old-school intrigue and modern comfort, draped in tones of deep blue, red and gold that create a luxurious backdrop for incomparable city views. Located near attractions like Campus Martius, Corktown and Little Caesars Arena, enjoy a cocktail at one of the most expansive rooftop bars in downtown Detroit. Retreat to an intimate banquette or to the Tower Keep for a more private experience, or relax outdoors around a cozy firepit.     My guests and I enjoyed ourselves very much. The drinks were actually a good value for what we ordered. The drinks pleased both the eye and the taste buds. The food was generally excellent. We ordered four small plates. The chili oil flatbread and garlic fries with spicy aioli were our favorites. The view from the outdoor patio was very nice and the service was pleasant. We will be back.

    Tasty small plate options. We had two different flatbreads and crab cakes. They were out of three or four dishes by 830pm. Many drink choices, but they are pricey—you definitely are paying for the view. Service was a little slow, but everyone was apologetic and kind. We chose this location to try and view the fireworks, but the new construction totally blocked the view. Nice venue for a special occasion.

    Please place the wings back on the menu. I was also disappointed that you were out of lamb meat balls by 5:30pm!

    An excellent experience all around. Top notch service, tasty cocktails and delectable small plates. An enjoyable ambiance and spectacular skyline view of Detroit.

    It took 20 minutes to be greeted and provided water. After ordering drinks we did not see our waiter for another 45 minutes. It seemed like she and the hostess were uninterested in being at work.

    Highly recommend! Fun cocktails, yummy small plates, great wait staff. Love that they give you blankets and have a fire pit (it gets chilly up there). But the real reason to go here is the amazing view of downtown Detroit. Worth it!
