The Monarch Club is a place like no other. Passing through the Metropolitan Building’s spectacular Great Hall hints at the elegant charm that awaits. The Monarch Club exudes both old-school intrigue and modern comfort, draped in tones of deep blue, red and gold that create a luxurious backdrop for incomparable city views. Located near attractions like Campus Martius, Corktown and Little Caesars Arena, enjoy a cocktail at one of the most expansive rooftop bars in downtown Detroit.     I always enjoy going to the Monarch because of the beautiful scenery of the city and the people. We had a few people from out of town so this was one of our choice spots to go to. I did enjoy myself but our server did not seem as if she was happy at all (maybe a bad day) and the order of steak sliders were very fatty. not very happy about that but management did take the item off the bill so all was well. The only mishap of the evening all in all is a great place to hang out and take in the city,

    It was my husband birthday and I wanted to treat him. We both are foodies and thought this place was worth the hype. I was really excited to try this place but unfortunately didn’t live up to the expectations. The service was mediocre. We got the food way before the drinks, no silverware were given prior to the food. The drinks were ok but the food was just regular bar food nothing out of the ordinary. We got the white fish dip, sliders, flat bread and fries with cocktails. Nothing stood out as delicious or amazing. Just average bar food. The view of the rooftop was incredible so next time I will go just for drinks to enjoy the view and go somewhere else for food. We saved the night by going to Selden Standard afterwards, the service there is fantastic, the mixologists are well knowledgeable and the food was excellent.

    Love the atmosphere and drink selection! Would recommend to always sit outside. Each outdoor seating has an amazing view.

    Views are always breathtaking and the weather on this specific evening was beyond amazing. They were busy but our server was prompt, polite, and attentive to anything we needed. We had a terrific time like we always do here. Highly recommend and we will be back for certain.

    We celebrated our anniversary with a group of family and friends on the balcony. The host took really good care of us. Thank you!

    Great location, wonderful ambience and rooftop setting…only drawback was service was a little slow but not the fault of the server. Just needed more help.

    We were promptly greeted by a friendly gentleman downstairs - however when we got seated we were in Jordan’s section. Things went from good to bad to worse. We quickly got water, however we had to wait a while before our drink and app order was taken, and even longer for our order to come be delivered… when it was time for the check- our waitress was no where to be found. We ended up waiting 27+ minutes for her to reappear, only for her to bring the surrounding table drinks and completely forget about us (again) once we finally got the bill she was rushing for us to pay. Sadly, I’m not sure if I will return as this experience was less than adequate.

    Our server, Gregory, was attentive without hovering. The entire team, from valet to Monarch manager were welcoming and friendly
