We’re an independent, family-owned bar and restaurant located in the heart of Penyffordd, North Wales.
Our menu is focused on modern, seasonal dishes using only the freshest ingredients and local produce. All of our dishes are made to order and we offer dining both inside and outside on our terrace.

    Another lovely Sunday meal, food consistently good , fresh and well well cooked and presented .

    We were told to try the Millstone by one of our friends who had eaten there a few times. I am not sure if we caught them at the wrong time/to early/ short in the kitchen, but the food was not up to scratch. HOME MADE CRUMPET WITH SMOKED HADDOCK The crumpet was a gooy mess and I am not sure what the topping was smoked something? Pan fry Hake it was not some other fish may be cod. 35 day Dried Age Sirloin steak it was not, to me it was a normal cut of beef straight off the cow straight on the plate, the vine tomatoes was a normal one sliced in half and the field mushrooms were cultivated flat ones. The coffee's ordered were a long time coming and were cold. A total disappointment, but we will leave it for a good while and give it another try to see if has improved.

    Not been to this restaurant for years. Food was excellent especially the fish pie as lots of fish and prawns. All 4 of us said how great the food was. No room for dessert so ended up sharing my husband’s crumble which was tasty. Staff were great too. Will definitely come back

    LOVELY! long time since last there, but didn't disappoint. Sunday lunch was gorgeous

    Always stop here for lunch when we go to North Wales for a break. Never been disappointed with the food or service.

    We've not been for a while, we use to come on a regular basis. Service was quite slow. It was cold and drafty, in the room to the left of the front entrance, there were other customers sat with their coats on too. Listening to the staff when serving food and drinks to the table's around where we were seated, instead of just saying the beef or the burger, approach the table and say " I have a beef dinner please" or "I have a order for a burger please" it just sounded a bit rude, no please or thank you. Food was ok, the roast potatoes were a bit dry and hard the other veg was fine, I like it with a bit of a crunch. Also the staff all looked miserable not one of the staff had a smile on their face.

    12 of us on table. All starters and meals came at the same time. Food is just that little bit different and delicious. We really enjoyed it and will be back very soon. Thank you everyone xx

    Another fabulous meal enjoyed at the Millstone. Food was fresh, hot and so flavoursome and tasty. Service was attentive and pleasant as always.
