Located in the heart of Cobourg Ontario, The Mill Restaurant & Pub and Cobourg Creek Golf Course offer our guests a unique dining and golfing experience. Though it has been converted to a modern restaurant, The Mill, built in 1830, has retained its historic charm throughout with views overlooking Cobourg Creek and the golf course that shares its name. Slow service. My salad was saturated in dressing. Did not have our preferred drink (blueberry lemonade). Server only checked in near end of our meal. Only able to reserve for 130 but when we got there inside of restaurant was virtually empty.

Wedding going on and told by server that or dinner would take a little longer. Then waitress forgot about us all together. Certain drink and menu items were not available. Reservation was at 6:30 on Saturday. Previously, always to our likings. Maybe just one of those days.

There was a wedding going on at the same time, so while our server was friendly, service was slow. We were told it was a direct result of the wedding. My advice- don’t open your restaurant if you can’t serve alongside a wedding. My meal (salmon with green beans) was overdone. The salmon was dry and the beans were likely frozen and mushy. My husband’s steak was cooked ok but had a sauce or gravy on it not mentioned on the menu. Appies we’re good (mozzarella sticks, fried dill pickles and cheese platter -need more crackers) Fries were the best part of everyone’s plate. Sons fish and chips were excellent. Club sandwich was served on a bun which is strange but was good, as was the chicken wrap. To us this restaurant is best for a lunch after a round of golf, wouldn’t recommend for dinner.

The fish and chips and the Buffalo chicken wrap are both excellent choices! The service at The Mill is always very good.

The Mill never disappoints! Prime rib is the BEST. Service is always great!

The service was excellent, food was really good. The dividers in the dining room make it feel quite private.

When booking we were asked if this was a special occasion. We said it was our anniversary. When we arrived, there was no mention of our anniversary, or during the meal. If you are not going to acknowledge a celebration, why ask the question.

We celebrated our anniversary at The Mill and enjoyed great meals with wonderful service. The upper deck is perfect and there are heaters for cooler evenings

The experience was amazing. We drove out to visit Cobourg over the May long weekend. Searched for lunch spot and were so lucky to find The Mill. Ambiance, great service and great food all 5-star!
