One of London's most beautiful brasseries, The Midland Grand Dining Room serves a seasonal French menu from celebrated chef Patrick Powell. It is ideal for convivial dinners with friends, long lunches, and memorable occasions that matter. Situated adjacent to St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, the restaurant and adjoining Gothic Bar and accompanying terrace offer exceptional all-day drinking and dining in the heart of King's Cross. From pâté en croûte and crab toast through to grilled poussin and twice baked goats cheese soufflés, menus draw inspiration from the grand brasseries of Paris, using seasonal produce and modern techniques. It's dining that's generous, inviting and suitable for every occasion. For large bookings, private dining and exclusive hire, The Midland Grand Dining Room has a variety of options available, including a Private Dining Room and Chef's Table. In June 2023, The Midland Grand Dining Room was awarded the coveted 'One To Watch' at the National Restaurant Awards.

The Midland Grand Sunday Lunch - To get things started we have selected the greatest hits from our snacks, shellfish and starters; Comté gougères, Crab on toast and roasted scallops to name a few. To follow, whole joints and cuts are roasted the traditional way. All are served with Yorkshire puddings beef dripping roast potatoes, spring greens, crushed swede and an unsparing amount of well-made gravy. Extra’s of pigs in blankets, rich cauliflower cheese and potato dauphinoise are obligatory. For pudding; Souffles, Bombe Alaska’s, Madeleines and Cheese. The adjacent Gothic Bar will be serving a variety of reviving refreshments to sharpen the mind pre and post lunch.

Our weekly changing Set Menu is available Monday to Saturday Priced at £32 for 2 courses and £38 for 3 courses, and available Tuesday - Saturday 12-2:30, and Monday - Saturday 17:00-18:30, expect weekly changing seasonal favourites, such as 'Pate en croute', 'Ox cheek pithivier, and 'Creme caramel'. Whether you're gathering with friends or colleagues, or soon-to-be catching a train with a loved one, our weekly changing set menu provides a brilliantly priced option for those keen to experience some of our best-loved seasonal specials.

We had the loveliest date. The food and ambience are amazing. But the staff make this place extraordinary.

Wonderful place, good food, service and the room is beautiful. But I noticed that the crab appetizer, one of their signature dishes, had shed a lot of the crab. They should be careful. I wish they’d just increase the price instead if they feel the squeeze.

Beautiful setting, decor and table and chairs make for a luxurious experience. Service excellent. My only gripe is for a Sunday menu there was no difference and the expensive mains do not come with any vegetables or sides meaning a meal for 2 for one course only is around £100.

We really enjoyed our meal.here. It's not cheap but the room is beautiful and the service friendly and effective. The food was excellent - we didn't eat anything that wasn't excellent. I would especially recommend the comte gougere for the table

Incredible place, good service, good drinks.. the only problem is the food which I found very average / nothing special at all. We had hake and risotto. Combined with wine prices that are really reaching a bit (£50 for half bottle of standard Chablis, the cheapest option) this makes it overall not great value at all

Hi Shan, thank you for taking the time to review your experience and we're just sorry that it didn't quite meet your expectations. We have passed your food comments across to the kitchens. However, we have several bottles of wine that sit within the £30 - £50 range so we're unclear why they were unfortunately missed. A shame!
