2 members of staff were fantastic with the serving but the man who took our order was disinterested and got the order wrong. we were not told when booking that we had only 90mins on the table. due to failures of service and inability to service the orders we had longer at the table.The lady chef was excellent and she kept telling the male waiter we wanted him. the food itself was extremely good.the restaurant has no ambience. its like a cafe not a restaurant

3 people in the table asked for a shared starter. They asked if it would be enough and the waiter said it would be ok but it was really only for a couple. After they complained they were offered another starter free of charge which was fair we all felt and made up for the confusion. The ambiance was very rowdy due to a mixture of adults and kids celebrating an occasion. At times this was very frustrating. We went to the bar and was having a nice peaceful conversation when the barman put the disco on, then everyone in the room was shouting over the music to be heard. I realise how difficult it can be to please everyone but it was a bit silly. Although the food was extremely tasty the ambiance left a lot to be desired 😟

Had a lovely evening celebrating a birthday but everyone very packed in close together. Still eating starters when mains were brought out. Great drinks and cocktail menu.

Lovely food and fantastic service by only one waiter who had quite a few tables to do as well as two large groups, was quite impressed with it all! One thing to note that they only except tips in cash as on the card there is no such facility to include that would benefit the local restaurant team.

Food was good and a nice portion size but the menu was fairly limited. The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean but, unfortunately, the music was so loud that conversation was very difficult.

It was difficult to tick various boxes above as overall, in the end, we had a good time. We arrived at 8pm for a couple of drinks before our meal which was booked for 9pm. We were eventually shown to our table, after complaining 3 times, at 10.30pm. This was really bad and is a reason that we would not recommend The Meze to others without pointing out this fact. The music in the bar area was very loud and would be ok just for a short while, but after sitting there for 2 1/2 hours trying to chat with friends that we only see at Christmas was very annoying and disappointing. The new manager there was very understanding and had only been at that location since Tuesday of that week. He did offer a free drink. We had a starter and main meal and then only wanted an Irish coffee. Again we were very annoyed and disappointed to be told that it was after their licencing hours and he was unable to serve us. Again, this was not our fault, if we had had our table at the time we had booked, we would have been able to finish our meal with a coffee and maybe an extra drink! I really think that when bookings are taken that a reasonable amount of time should be given for people to enjoy their meals in comfort, I do not think a 90 minute time should be endorsed. Having said that, we probably didn't even get 90 minutes! We would like to try The Meze again, perhaps you could offer us some sort of compensation for our next visit????

The restaurant was totally empty when we arrived a 1:30 pm and the atmosphere was zero. The food was good but over priced for the area and maybe that is why it was empty on a Saturday lunchtime.

terrible very disappointed in this restaurant. We ordered platter at 45 which was filled with cold doner meat not much else.
