Nicely tucked in the midst of Templestowe’s dining district is The Mexican Kitchen which was founded by lovers of Mexican food for lovers of Mexican food.

Our family run business is a home to the local community serving delicious and simple food that is made with love. The tempting array of authentic Mexican dishes is reminiscent of antojitos (literally “little cravings”) from a traditional Mexican street vendor that entices all diners.

Our vision was to develop a menu of Mexican street food dishes designed to share, utilising the quality, freshness and variety of Australian produce while maintaining authenticity of experience and taste.

A fresh and fun evening bite or dinner experience at a great price makes The Mexican Kitchen an exciting addition to an already buzzing food hub in the heart of Templestowe.

    Always amazing food and service , We had the tacos , the burritos , beef seafood and chilli con carne all absolutely delicious , mocktails are really yummy also

    We dined on a night where they initially had no power, so options were limited. We decided to stay and the staff could not have been more pleasant. Food was great and would highly recommend.

    We booked this restaurant for 8 people on Father’s Day and received a booking confirmation. To our surprise, we arrived at this place and it was closed. I called the number and the person on the other line said they are not open for lunch. It was very disappointing for us all as it was impossible for us to find another restaurant for 8 people. They should update their opening times

    The food at Mexican Kitchen was fabulous but they did not have any record of my OpenTable booking. Luckily they could fit us in. Not impressed with this booking service at all.
