We loved our experience at The Mexican! The service was amazing, and the food was of the quality dreams are made of. We are still talking about it today over breakfast. The sauces they brought out in the beginning were so flavorful and the guac was amazing! Every single dish ordered was 10/10. We would 100% return here on our next visit to Dallas!

Dom our server and his helpers were great! We had an earlier seating, and man, that dining room filled up fast! Good for you guys! Every food item we ordered was fantastic. We loved how they served the shared appetizers because there wasn't enough room on the table. The sauces that came with the chips...awesome! Just everything from service to plating to utensils to food and drink, OUTSTANDING. Yes, it's on the pricey side but the quality is worth it. And that filet....one of the BEST ever. And we are steak people. I'm not a seafood enchilada person but those who got it loved it. Desert....yes, please. You have to try this place. And they also have a lovely large bar/lounge area we did not get to experience but you know we will next visit! Thank you!

Our waiter Andre was amazing. We went for my dad’s birthday and he was so nice to us. He also spoke Spanish which was helpful for my parents. The food was good and his birthday cake was so nice and tasted delicious as well. Andre I hope you get the recognition you deserve on how you helped us that evening. Thanks you so much.

Unfortunately tonight was not my best experience. Food was lukewarm, had to send my entree back, ask for refills on water, and it just was not the best.

Rafael was great! The food was amazing! There was a shellfish allergy and they were great about making sure nothing was cross contaminated.

I made reservations in advance, to eat at the Mexican, as needed. I was sent an email emphasizing their strict adherence to their dress code (upper smart casual was how they described it), which is a first for me. I have never been sent a seperate text telling me they will not allows t shirts, etc., and jeans with 'too many holes', yada yada yada. Once I was seated, I was surrounded by tshirts and street level attire. this was setting the tone for a bad experience. Dirty menus started off the disappointing evening. If you can't have the 4 hostess's wipe down menus, then you can't do much right after that-my opinion as a F&B guy. The noise was deafening and the server got close to our party of 4 to give the menu diatribe. The body odor was on the forefront of our impression. We did not understand how a server would be allowed to work without being clean and odorless. Is that too much to ask? Then the server stated they had a sommelier on staff and he came over and also added he was 'THE FIRST Tequila/Wine Sommelier" in existence. What a bunch of BS. This was just too much for me to handle. The food was actually not bad, the proteins were prepared properly, but I had to wonder how good the cooks/line staff sanitation standards were compared to our server. This will be the downfall of any operation. If you can't do the small things ( clean menus/staff/ food prep stations), then you can't survive to pay the 15 year bank note on the physical property and quality food inventory.
