Offrant une vue sur Central Park, le Members Dining Room est un restaurant raffiné réservé exclusivement aux membres du Metropolitan Museum of Art. Installé au 4e étage du musée, le Members Dining Room propose une cuisine américaine contemporaine dans un cadre élégant, mettant l'accent sur les fruits de mer ainsi que les ingrédients locaux de saison. Chaque mois, le chef exécutif Fred Sabo prépare un menu de dégustation de 4 plats mettant en valeur une cuisine nationale ou internationale différente. Outre la grande carte des vins, le Members Dining Room dispose d'une liste de vins de réserve et de dégustation pour accompagner au mieux votre repas. Si vous souhaitez organiser des événements en famille, entre amis ou entre collègues, 4 salles sont mises à votre disposition à la location. Very quiet - terrific for having a conversation. Service was good. We were there for dinner annd had mixed results on the food: chicken and veggies - veggies were cold, chicken dry; mushroom tart - very good; salmon - tasty but portion was quite small; Mexican salad - ok.

Excellent food, great service, really interesting room. Spoiled slightly by a couple of loud shouty Americans - but that’s not the restaurants fault.

Waitress was not hospitable, but our server was great. We had the crabcakes and shared them, which were good, but the salmon was excellent. Unfortunately, it was raining. I was also disappointed that my request for a window seat was not granted when during the time we were there, nobody came to sit at the window as we were told they would.

The Met Dining Room, usually, is one of my favorite spaces in NYC. I have often visited and often introduced friends to the MDR. Last night was different. We arrived on time for our 7PM reservation. The food was marvelous, and the service was terrible. Our actual waitperson was fine, polite and helpful but the people-two, I think-who brought and removed courses were intrusive and we were rushed. One of these workers was aggressive, removing food we were still eating and then loudly proclaiming, "We're closing." It was stressful. I apologized to the friends I'd brought for their first MDT experience.

There was a loud rhythmic rumble under our feet like a sound system playjng disco music. I never heard that there before. It was a bit disruptive to conversation.

Serice was “ham-handed.” Except for waitress, the service was rough. Barely acknowledging our presence. Practically throwing items onto the table.

The customer service was great and the staff was friendly. However, the meal was very poorly done. I had ordered the burger and asked for it well done since I don’t like any red in the middle. Got the burger and I cut it in half and the meat was not cooked. It was very raw and called the waiter to have it redone. They quickly took the order and gave me another burger that was cooked. They were polite and apologized for the inconvenience.

Great place for a nice, quiet lunch. Excellent food . David is a first class server , who made great suggestions about the menu. This dining room is must visit while you are in NYC
