Dine in the AA 2 Rosette Linen Fold Panelled Restaurant, where you can enjoy the ambience of the large restaurant, the cosiness of The Dr Syn Dining Room or the privacy of the Boardroom for your evening meal, lunch and breakfast.

Head Chef Drew King is focused on using quality, seasonal, local ingredients and cooking them perfectly. He has a broad range of experience having worked in Michelin Star restaurants. and is able to adapt to the requirements of the guest and the occasion.

Please note dogs are not allowed in the Restaurant. Bookings are for the Restaurant only. We do not reserve for The Bar and outside seating areas.

Highly recommended, amazing food and service. Hidden gem of Rye and will definitely be returning to experience it again.

The Mermaid Inn is a lovely place for lunch. We sat in the bar which was comfortable. We ordered the food at the bar where the guy serving was polite and friendly. We had fish and chips which was a big portion and very filling. Downside is you have to park in a car park (about 10 mins away) as you can only park at The Mermaid Inn if you are actually staying there.

A very enjoyable experience. Service couldn't have been better, really good food in a lovely environment. What more could you want on an evening out.

A very enjoyable meal at The Mermaid. The restaurant is a gem, full of history and an event ambience. The food was excellent. Service pitched just right - attentive but not intrusive. Would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting this venue again in the future

Holiday treat. The food, service and ambience cannot be faulted. I felt overwhelmed to be able to enjoy a meal in such a stunning venue. It is an experience not to be missed. Apart from the food you choose, there are canapes for each table and some home made rolls and butters - both with unusual flavours.

Staff are very friendly and attentive. Service was quick. Food was delicious. Lack of parking might be an issue for some.

Atmospheric, authentic, beautiful. Great silver service. Attentive and professional staff. Would recommend. We had the set menu lunch and it was really good.
