The Mermaid Inn is a warm, friendly, casually sophisticated neighborhood meeting place for dining, drinking and socializing. We serve seafood inspired from the North Atlantic and the Mediterranean. All our food is extremely fresh. “From the sea to the table” is how we like to put it. Happy hour Monday-all day, Tuesday-Sunday from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. $1.50 oysters & clams, drink specials and Mermaid favorites like our fish tacos, shrimp sliders and more. The Mermaid Inn is a must try restaurant. The staff from the host, wait staff, bartenders and bus persons make your evening amazing. Food fantastic!

I am a frequent customer and yesterday the food was mediocre. I had the lobster roll and bread was old and hard. My husband had the tuna tataki and there was too much sauce. One could not taste the tuna.

The food was good. Portions small. Service very slow for 5pm on a not busy Saturday. Not worth the high cost.

Fantastic service! Everything we ate was delicious - recommend the lobster knuckles, Linquine and Clams and their happy hour. I had a cocktail with pear and ginger beer. 10/10 Already planning to be back.

I love Mermaid Inn and very much miss the OG on 2nd Ave. I hadn't been to this Chelsea location before. Everything about it was good - I love how they offer the option of plain grilled fish. My cod was cooked perfectly. However, my mate had requested his medium rare and it came out medium well. The service was fine, but I will say everything about the experience felt rushed. It almost felt as if we ordered our dishes and they came right out of the kitchen. No time to enjoy our cocktails. At the end of the meal our waitress put our check on the table with the cover standing up - within 5 minutes, another waitress came by and checked it to see if we paid. The other half of the restaurant was empty - so don't get why they had to turn the table so quickly

We love The Mermaid Inn. The food is ALWAYS wonderful. Service is ALWAYS attentive and caring, without being over-the-top. We feel so lucky to have it in our neighborhood, and go there at least twice a week when we're in town.
