Welcome to The Merchant’s Yard in Tideswell!

Located in the heart of the stunning Peak District National Park, this family-run business is the ideal setting for any occasion; whether it be a relaxing lunch, delectable afternoon tea or a mouth-watering three-course dinner from our selection of seasonal menus designed by the head chef. We choose local suppliers to ensure a fresh and high-quality meal.

Our friendly, knowledgeable, Front of House team will be on hand to guide you through our selection of menus. They will also help you with choosing the right cocktail, fine wine or ale to pair with your meal.

At the time of booking please add any dietary requirements and accessibility needs. The restaurant is set over three floors with our ground floor being accessible.

    Have been to The Merchant Yard several times, for Sunday lunch. Lovely environment, staff attentive, nothing too much trouble & the food is absolutely delicious, hot & plentiful. Would highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

    We booked for Sunday lunch while on holiday and were not disappointed. The food was so delicious. I’m gluten intolerant and asked if they could supply a GF Yorkshire pudding. They could not, however, I was given a GF roll and my roast came on a separate plate to everyone else’s roasts, i.e. GF gravy. Attentive service and lovely venue. Would highly recommend!

    It was our first time at the Merchants Yard, we were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and my birthday so it was a lovely delicious treat, my husband had an Ox Cheek starter and we both had the Sirloin Beef Sunday lunch, it was delicious and we'll certainly be back soon 😊

    Food was really good. There were 5 of us and everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the risotto which was excellent, really tasty and good portion sizes. As we were staying we also had breakfast which was made to order and a really great breakfast.

    Portions far too big particularly my starter , coffee served in enormous cups. Nothing really special about food. We were rather disappointed.

    Another Sunday Lunch at the Merchant's Yard... Excellent food served by attentive and friendly staff. A good sized dining facility gives patrons plenty of room to enjoy food and conversation. Never been disappointed with any aspect of the experience. Thank you.
